September 17, 200520 yr same hereboth Vatsim and ASV are acting flaky today. High server load I guess.Graham
September 17, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi all,We have noticed some problems all across the 'net today, most likely affecting many services. Through log analyzation, our servers have been running fine through all of this despite the occasional failed collection attempt due to the network problems. Of course these network problems can also be affecting user connections to the HiFi servers. We apologize for this but please realize that widespread internet problems are completely beyond our control. Usually they are very temporary as the affected routing points are isolated and fixed by the owners of such points. Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
September 17, 200520 yr Commercial Member HI Graham,"both Vatsim and ASV are acting flaky today. High server load I guess."like Damian explain it, affect many others. This explain why, I have been able to get the download at a specific time with my post, and others did not get them before or little later, the connection are not stable today.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
September 18, 200520 yr I can connect to VATSIM no problem, but ASV won't download. It seems to start, downloads 4k and then quits. I've noticed no other internet connection problems today.
September 18, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi Mike,That sounds like internet issues, the 4K is representing a standard "This page cannot be displayed" file as provided by the MSIE control. This is typically due to the DNS name not responding, in turn due to problems somewhere along the connection. You can try a traceroute to www.hifisim.com to verify where the problem is (windows start, run, tracert www.hifisim.com).I have just now tested all servers through all test connections we have available, and everything is working good. Feel free to email me direct @ [email protected] for further resolution!Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
