What are some uses for a 2nd display?

Krister,I also have a PTT button on my CH yoke and still run SB3 on my second PC. WideFS/FSUIPC will take care of the rest. Superb combination if you ask me! ;-)Cheers,

funny...I asked this same type of question a few months ago and it got kicked over to the hardware forum after the 4th post... and ultimately died there for lack of viewership.

I discovered the joys of this about a month ago. I put all my instrument/GPS pop ups on the 2nd monitor. This leaves them directly clickable (no need to pop them up) I find I fly a lot smoother now that I can directly click things during busy phases if flight (like climb out, where I am changing gear, flaps, prop, autofeather, autignition, prop synch, and ATC frequencies in quick succession and they are on different pop up 2D windows) Wouldn't go back now.

How hard is it to set up a second monitor? Is thos something done in FS or Windows or a combination of both? I know i have the second input on my Nvidia 6800 card, just don't know the software side of the setup.Brad2 miles from KELP/KBIFhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg

What can you do with a 2nd display?well.. almost anything you want...based on the situtation and aircraft that you fly. Its just more windows real estate. No..there is no performance issue with having two monitors.

Maybe not a performance hit on adding the second monitor but it does matter what you DO with the second monitor. If you load it up with a Tower view and Spot view and some other things you will defineatly see a FPS hit.

Hi Alex,In the Home Cockpit Support Forum someone is asking about a touch screen. Would you be willing to give some input here?http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...&topic_id=18156I'm also quite interested in your c310 cockpit setup you mentioned in the other day. I'm thinking of building a home cockpit based on the a36 and a touch screen has crossed my mind as well. Thanks in advance,Gerhard

Gerhard
