January 4, 200818 yr Hi all!Quick question, is there a way to convert my C drive from FAT32 to NTFS without losing everything on it or do I need to uninstall everything first (i.e. FS9 which is huge!!) as that isnt really a nice thing to think about!!!Rich
January 4, 200818 yr The only way to convert to NTFS is a format, whether it be quick or full:(Backup your data! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 4, 200818 yr Yes it is easy.As per Ms support:"How to convert a FAT volume or a FAT32 volume to NTFSNote Although the chance of corruption or data loss during the conversion is minimal, we recommend that you perform a backup of the data on the volume that you want to convert before you start the conversion. To convert an existing FAT or FAT32 volume to NTFS, follow these steps:1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt.2. At the command prompt, type the following, where drive letter is the drive that you want to convert:convert drive letter: /fs:ntfsFor example, type the following command to convert drive E to NTFS:convert e: /fs:ntfsNote If the operating system is on the drive that you are converting, you will be prompted to schedule the task when you restart the computer because the conversion cannot be completed while the operating system is running. When you are prompted, click YES.3. When you receive the following message at the command prompt, type the volume label of the drive that you are converting, and then press ENTER:The type of the file system is FAT.Enter the current volume label for drive drive letter4. When the conversion to NTFS is complete, you receive the following message at the command prompt:Conversion complete5. Quit the command prompt."Pierre Pierre I9 14900K 5.5 64gb ram 6800 RTX5090 Asus Strix Gaming E

January 4, 200818 yr HelloIf you have any FSD aircraft they will possibly need reinstalling. This happened to me once when i did the conversion to NTFS from FAT32 after installing their Commander 115.Other than that it is quick and easy to do the conversion.
