Addon Airports

Featured Replies

Hi all, Can Anyone recommend any good addon airports? ones that will work with my traffic 2006....Im looking for medium haul flights out of newcastle EGNT (3-7 hour flights) to places throughout north africa, europe etc....holiday destinations etc...There has to be some good addon scenery out there? the default airports are pretty bland :(CheersIanps. good payware or freeware...

http://www.sim-wings.de/They have lots of fairly well done airports all over europe. Many holiday destinations like Mallorca, Ibiza, canary islands and more.Their products are also available via aerosoft or simmarket. Aerosoft has very good coverage of germany with almost any major airport available.FlyTampa LOWW is another great european airport and you cannot go wrong with FT quality.http://www.isdproject.com/ - nice coverage for Italy (freeware). LIRF is definitely payware quality.http://www.napulevola.it/products/2006.aspx - also freeware, very well done beautiful airport.HSP (http://avsim.com/greece/scenery/) covers complete greece with base scenery, mesh and some nice airports. There is probably more, but these are things I personally use for flying short to medium haul flights within europe.

Innsbruck (LOWI), freeware here at AVSIM, with a good mesh and Jim Vile's approaches.Jersey snd Guernsey are both well done (also here at AVSIM).CanarySim for the Canaries, also here at AVSIM.Martin

There is a new one geneva LSGG on simmarket it is pretty nice. Anything Fly Tampa has done is great and the Freeware KBOS from George Grimshaw one of the Fy Tampa developers. They are terrific add-ons. Also Flight Scenery but they are in the US.

Nice Shots there DK.I was thinking..there should be some way to convince the tourism board/ministry of all major cities in all countries to commision detailed sceneries for their city and airport and other tourist attraction for Flight sim. And give it out for Free. Its a lowcost way to advertise their country/city/tourist spots.:)Manny

If you are starting out from the UK, you really should try UK2000's new Stansted xstreme.I've got quite a few payware airports, but Gary has taken it to another level I think with loads of details and really great framerates.Highly recommended.http://www.uk2000scenery.com/main/oldindex.htm
