August 19, 200718 yr A new overlay depicts ALL aircraft, live, worldwide. Each icon contains Dep/arrival points, alt and speed. You can choose between, civilian, mil or rotors. I cross referanced it with Flightaware.com and they matched it perfectly. A must have.http://www.svens.dds.nl/kml/index.htmlCHOOSE "Realtime"Dave F.
August 19, 200718 yr ho-ly-crap.I've used flightaware for ages now, but this is pretty wild and brings flight tracking to a much broader range of people, those who wouldn't normally use flightaware.
August 20, 200718 yr Author Try tilting the image and you can see the altitude or where the flight began to desend.Dave
August 21, 200718 yr Are there any instructions that might give me the slightest clue how to get this to work?--Tom________[a href=http://www.corpairamerica.com]http://mysite.verizon.net/tjrush/tjrcaasig.jpg[/a] Tom
August 21, 200718 yr Hi,Just drop the .klm file into your GE folder and then fire up GE while connected to the Internet.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
August 21, 200718 yr Seems to be timing out or something a lot for me. I don't use GE that much so I'm not sure what the errors mean, but it's unable to communicate with the server after a minute or so. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired
August 21, 200718 yr Jim, thanks for trying. I'm not even downloading the right file. The only files I can find to download are .kmz--Tom________[a href=http://www.corpairamerica.com]http://mysite.verizon.net/tjrush/tjrcaasig.jpg[/a] Tom
August 21, 200718 yr OK I'll bite, I don't get it...don't you need to purchase some flight tracking software? Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
August 21, 200718 yr Hi,No, it does the same thing Flightaware does, but in Goggle Earth.Flightaware is free, Goggle Earth is free, this module is also free. Please note, none of these alone will add anything to your FS experience. For that you may or may not need to purchase software to connect FS and Goggle Earth. I use freeware called MyFSGoggleEarth!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
August 22, 200718 yr I downloaded the FlightTracker.kmz put into my Google Earth folder where the exe file is and also put it into my C:Documents and SettingsHP_AdministratorApplication DataGoogleGoogleEarth.I launch google earth using that kmz and nothing, its the same old google earth.Just how do you get it to track planes in real time? Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3
August 22, 200718 yr Author When you click the link it should install into your temp file in GE, then GE should startup. Just make sure the "3D Aircraft" box is checked.Dave F.

Also willing to bet that in the same timeframe, we'll be starting to see actual google earth style satellite imagery for ground scenery. For those having trouble, I just downloaded the file to my desktop and doubleclicked it. That brought up google earth, then I went into my temp places folder in google earth and just checked the box (can't remember what the box is called but for me it was the only one there, and it was obviously the flight tracking tool).
August 23, 200718 yr Author I always use Flightaware to create flights, but I like Simroutes http://www.simroutes.com/ too, because you can find charts there.Dave F.
