A switch which ejects all engines from a aircraft in case they are severely damaged. Making it possible to see more of such surviving ditches in the future. The engine mountings are designed to fail when the engine causes a lot of vibration or when they are stressed in uncommon (no thrust) directions.

There were fatalities, so guess that is why this was the first "successful" ditching of a jetliner. I am glad things worked out this time.Donald T.
