FS2004 and DirectX 10

Hi!I wonder if anyone knows if you can use DirectX 10 with FS2004.I'm upgrading my PC, with new video card, etc., but intend to keepFS9.Grateful for experiences, tips and help.Thanks!Hans HermanssonSweden

as said, not dx10 in fs9...started development almost a decade ago :(

DX10 capable cards are fully compliant with DX9 so they will run fs2004 and any other dx9 app without any problems.

It is backward compatible... but you can not get all 3D graphic enhancement features on DX10... :)BR.

Of course you can! But......that was not the question! :( There are three absolute requirements for DX10 to work:1. Operating system - Vista32, Vista64, Vista72. Video Card - nVidia or ATI w/DX10 capability3. Software - must be coded with DX10 shader calls (FSX SP2/Acceleration)It's not all that complicated. If any one of the above is not true, then DX10 features simply will not work!

I think it was the question! it seems the OP is upgrading his computer with a dx10 card and wants to know if fs9 will still work. Not if fs9 will suddenly run with dx10.could be wrong but that's my take on how he worded the question...
