----------------------------Fr Bill- thank you, impressive stuff! Espec. when I opened up the the amp enough to get "good vibrations" flowing thru' the arms of my sim chair! A good reminder of why sound is so important in flight simming. Even my lady of 53 years came and listened! Reminded us of a noon recital on a visit to Salt Lake City years ago.Are you taking requests? Perhaps Bach's "Jesu, joy of man's desiring"?Alex Reid
As is sometimes said, "ASCII and ye shall receive..." :( Jesu Joy of Man's DesiringRegistrations:Positiv: Spitzflote 8'Positiv: Trumpette 8' + Prinzapale 4'+2'Great: Plein Jeu (g.o.)Swell: Jeux DouxPedal: Fonds de Grox Tierce

--------------- Thank you!Alex Reid
You are most welcome, Alex. I'm not really all that happy with the registations, but that was what I came up with short notice... ;)

I'm familiar with this, but haven't been able to locate an organ transcription. All I've found so far (doing a brief search) is one for violin and piano.http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/0270471/details.htmlI gather then that you are a concert violinst? I seem to recall you mentioned that some months ago. While composing this reply, I've been listening to Jascha Heifetz performing this with organ... Stunningly beautiful!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AK5lJFhrQ4
Yeah-the few times I've done it with organ they all freaked. Have to do it all from figured bass I guess.Heifetz is the greatest there ever will be imho-and that recording has never been equaled.

Holy Moly... I read the topic title and thought; ah crap, he's taken something that put him over the "4 hour", "need to call a doctor" threshold. I was all prepared to put the hammer down on the thread... And it turns out to be about real pipe organs. I guess I am relieved. Big%20Grin.gif

Mens sana in corpore sano ...With respect to Tom I'm confident about the "corpore sano" part, it's the "mens sana" that has me wondering. :(In other words, in Pig Latin ... Utsmay inay eyeay ofay beholderay isay.

Nice job and I have a question: I heard two manuals with identical stops. Does the organ have more?

Although there are only two manuals and a full pedalboard, I can couple anything to any (or all) three of them.I have piston combinations I can set up to instantly change registrations on them as well. For sake of convenience I refer to the upper manual as Positiv and the lower manual as Great, although at any given time they can be Rukpositiv, Swell, or just about anything else! :( The specific registration for the last arrangement is:Positiv: Ripieno II (pos)Great: Swell Chorus Pedal: Fonds de Gros Terce + Ripieno II (ped) + Reeds 16'+8' + Bourdon 32This is what I use to emulate a "Theater Organ" sound...

Having worked in the Pipe Organ industry all of my life may I point out that what you have is not a Pipe Organ at all - it is an electronic simulation of one.A true Pipe Organ has pipes which are wind blown.Picky, picky I know. What you have does sound quite good for an imitation however.

GOOD GRIEF!!!

This used to be a flight sim site, right? I can relate to manuals, pistons, pedals, registrations, even a piston combination or two... But when you start talking about upper manuals and lower manuals, the only thing I can relate to is keeping one manual between the roof of the plane and the pilot's visor and one under his seat (my personal favorite location).

Oh man... It's going to hit the fan now! :(
