June 30, 200916 yr Hello,Absolutely no problems here (as many others)Running WinXP here. Please be sure to follow advices of the develloper as:1 Reboot after install2 After reboot make a complete defrag. Also read the complete doc provided.Regards.Gus.I got the revised package and have a couple of questions before I try to install it -1. As was suggested in another post - does it really make backups prior to installing OR do you need to do that yourself. I installed to a temp folder to see what all would be changed and have already made backups of the various folders and files. Just curious of the install program aslo makes backups.2. I see no un-installer - is that correct? If there is none, I assume a manual uninstall (deleteing folders etc.) would work (the backups would be restored of course)3. Any idea why the program asks you to reboot? It apparently does not write much if anything to the registry.Looking forward to your thoughts.
June 30, 200916 yr Hello, 1. As was suggested in another post - does it really make backups prior to installing OR do you need to do that yourself. I installed to a temp folder to see what all would be changed and have already made backups of the various folders and files. Just curious of the install program aslo makes backups. No backup to see so far after installMethink (as I maked by precaution) a manual backup is on orderNevertheless it's a swap files proggy for some textures files of the addon itselfFound in start/programs after installation and also located in this pathC:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\My documents\Flight Simulator Files\FS9 Texture Swap2. I see no un-installer - is that correct? Any idea why the program asks you to reboot? It apparently does not write much if anything to the registry.Dunno .. maybe just a precaution of the develloper .. just in case :)Regards.Gus.

July 1, 200916 yr Author Guys, this is the latest update from Howard that he asked me to correct and post for him................................... Just a few comments and thoughts on feed back received to date.Firstly many thanks for the all the E-mails of support from around the world. I think without them I would have just stopped it as a lot of ordinary people do, when they do a little scenery but do not wish to share it because of the risk of been ridiculed over it, when really its us all that are the big losers. I have also revised all the documentation in Howards Mix and that is now in the download, It took over a week of pure purgatory for me to complete. The brown water came first I believe there is only one water texture that I have made brownish which is mainly displaying lakes and rivers but not always, that is due to Microsoft. Love it or hate it I spent three days working on it trying to get reflections effects [with out the enhanced shader2 technology used in FSX and DX10] from the lake bottoms that can be seen looking down from the air, most lakes take there colours from reflections from the sky, bottom unless very deep, and algae or pollution on the top I always knew this would be a controversial point and below is part of the read me I sent out to the beta tester at the time. June 2, 201313 yr Hi all from a newby. I bought the scenery upgrade disc for 2004 (the natural word by howard) museum.at the FS show at the helicopter museum. Just come to instal it and can't remember the password, which i believe is generic and common to all users. Can anyone let me know what it is or supply details of where i can contact Howard. Thanks Chris Hyde
