July 3, 200916 yr I did a search but came up empty. Is there a program similar to that of Airport Editor for FSX that is available to edit nav data and add approaches?
July 3, 200916 yr Not yet but there is work ongoing on an fs9 version of ADE. If you have access to fsx you could develop approaches in fsx with ADE and then hand-compile the xml code from ADE with the fs9 bglcompiler.scott s..

A utility that allows for the addition of ILS approaches to any airport and create the necessary XML code. The utility is designed with the non-expert in mind so is easy to use. By Martin Gleeson. (Previous version had 800 downloads.)It is at Flightsim.comHope it is what you are seeking.

In other words, it does not create either transitions or missed approach procedures."It's a start but not the complete answer. Gerry Howard

Do you know if there is a way to add VOR's possibly? Or at least edit them?

It is available at most DL sites.

July 4, 200916 yr The approaches and navaids you add with AFCAD may not be used with FS AI in IMC conditions. Your aircraft can use those facilities. The AI transition points are coded into the FS Scenery.ADE when available should handle that for AI. You can look at the description for FSX. It's approaches should show on the FS GPS.If I'm incorrect I'm sure Jim Vile or Reggie Fields will correct me.If you don't care about sync with AI approach routes from the transition then AFCAD might do.

Like Scott said ADEX will make the approach for FSX but all you do is compile the XML with the FS9 BGLcomp Compiler and place in FS9. The approach phase of FS9 and FSX are identical using the ARINC 424 standard. FSX does have some updated approaches that are not in FS9.The good news is ADE9 is in the final release stage and has all the same capibilities as ADEX. We also added the approach utility tool into the ADE9 version.
July 4, 200916 yr JimHmmm...Hard to think of you as a newbe...Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.
