July 21, 200916 yr Yes - thanks for correcting me. All my voice sliders are over to the left which is the fastest I believe.Iain Smith
July 22, 200916 yr Author i hope everyone that posts here about the wavs, will be the first in line to volunteer to record. typically not every volunteer is accepted due to poor quality of their recording, their speech characteristics (too slow, too mellow, etc).i'm not able to compensate these volunteers as handsomly as microsoft, but i do give you a copy of v5 if we use your voice set.not bad for 3-5 hours of work.jdYes you can put me on the list jd. At present I'm not equipped to record voice to my PC but presumably I just need a cheapish microphone?Iain Smith

At present I'm not equipped to record voice to my PC but presumably I just need a cheapish microphone?Iain SmithHi Iain,Get yourself a decent quality microphone, since it will be voice only. The one I used for my sets was from Radio Shack, and not too expensive. I would also suggest some type of wav editor to remove as much from the beginning and end of each wav file. This will help those who do the final editing of the files.Another tip would be to try and say phrases as 'flat' as possible, for several wavs may be stringed together to make up different phrases.Hope it helps!Cheers,Mike T.PS to JD - If you need me to voice for v5, let me know!
July 23, 200916 yr Ian and Mike, and anyone else who wants to do a voice set for RCv5 - could you please send a quick email to jd? What we'd like to do is have everyone's names and contact available so when it gets close to recording time we can contact you and find you easily. Thanks,Subs
