Hi,im a pilot on Avro RJ85 and id like to know if there is any good version for FS2004. I tried to find one by myself but the only thing i got is some bad 3d model with a cessna-like cockpit and no functions.

Same here - I did use a model by Paul Hannity ages back, but it was very much a WIP - AFAIK, there hasn't been any updates to it since. I'm really surprised that there's not been a really good payware of this plane - the Eurowings one was good, but that was FS2002, and I'm a VC junkie. I guess its a pretty complex plane to do, Matthias Neusinger's panel was fantastic but, like I said, very very complex. I'd buy one of these like a shot if a good, reasonably simulated offer was put out to the market; don't get me wrong, there are plenty of good Boeings et al out there, but I can't help feeling there is a glut of them. I prefer short haul flights, and this is one plane that would really get a workout with those kind of flights...so no, none as far as I know, but I hope a sympathetic dev who fancies a challenge picks up on this thread :)

Hello,Unfortunately not 100 or 200 but some good 300 and 300 QT and good 2D panel here:http://www.simviation.com/hjg/downloads.htmRegards.bye.gifGus.

Yeah, Gus pointed out the best: Historic Jetliner Group's BAe. As far as I know, though, it's not all that accurate to it's real life counterpart. Worth a try, though.

Eurowings Professional came out a few years ago and I think its the best out there for BAE-146-200/300. Aerosoft still sells the BAE-146 sim (Eurowings 2004) it on their webiste (www.aerosoft.com), here is the link for the product page....http://www.aerosoft.com/cgi-local/us/iboshop.cgi?showd80!0,5247933870,DF01364BruceU

These panels work well. They are complex in nature and systems are demanding. You'll find them to match specific models:http://www.baepanelproject.com/
Ron,Thanks for the reminder that this site was out there. I remembered that they stopped production, but didn't know the site was still online. I was eagerly awaiting the updates for each of the BAe airframes, but as you mentioned the 146 and Avro panels had a lot to them. I never saw anything else out there that I could compare to these.

okay so now i have some models but to be true.. the panels arent really complex to me and i am missing some systems.. i would like to create a panel by myself.. i know a lot in photoshop and i have the source to build it up but i dont know how to do it in flight simulator. maybe some can help me here to do that.

Hello,Dunno nothing about panel devellopment .. what I know .. it's a real challenge and involve many knowledges of FS2004.Anyways if you succeed to release a panel better than those already availables this will be great.Hope some here can show you the way and good luck in your projectRegards.bye.gifGus.

FS Panel Studio allows panel editing on a visual basis and also will connect to your image editor. You can download assorted panels and/or gauges (including .cab files) putting them in the FS gauge folders. These and the default gauges can the be visually placed on the panel bitmaps for each window of the panel including the main. Each gauge can be added, removed, resized, etc., in a WYSIWYG environment. More panel windows can be added. You can also connect to a text editor to edit or create xml coded gauges.FSP will adjust the parameters in your panel.cfg file so you should not need to manually edit it.It is a great convenience and time saver for panel design and was one of the first utilities I bought for FS. Description at:http://www.fspanelstudio.com/Flight1 hosts the download with their installer. It is also available on CD but I recommend the download version as it is easier to apply upgrades and service packs.

There are quite a few tools out there. I know the FS Panel Studio to some extent. But if you can gather up some of these tools and a little patience to use them or already have come programming experience, you might have success.

Sorry, but what systems du you miss in the BAe 146 panel from www.baepanelproject.com ? I use the panels from there now since a very long time and I'm also in contact with a lot of German BAe 146 pilots (Eurowings) but I never hear something like that. As a 146 pilot you should admit that you could compare the handling of the panel systems with them of the real BAe 146 aircraft. I was in contact with Matthias in his forum and by Mail very often and I know that programming such systems need a lot of experience and years of work. Now you would like to do it? Lets talk about that in three years to see what you've done. It seems to me that you've checked another panel.Best RegardsManfred (EDDS)

first read the post and the response.. i am flying one avro rj85 and would like to have a panel for that. the bae146 is not exactly the same. i didnt say that it will become easy to do it, thats why i asked for help. i know that here are some guys, who can do such things and i could give all the information needed about the systems and the panel. there is that baepanelproject panel for the BAe146 ofc but for me it looks like an old panel from FS2000 or something. i would like to have some better quality to make it more realistic. i dont know how long it takes to setup a gauge and if its possible to just copy code from older panels and then give it a new outfit. but thats why i am asking here. anyway i would prefer an Avro RJ85 panel

Thank you for your reply. However what systems are missing and what type of complexity do you mean? Why should a FS panel be more complex than the real aircraft (makes no sense for me)? What is realistic for you? Just to put a photo in the background of the gauges? Most flightsimmers want realistic function of the systems and gauges. And when I compare this panel with the manual, you could find it here. Maybe you're right. I know that the newer BAe 146 from this project has some more systems realized. Nevertheless such a comment about the quality is misplaced for me. I have massive respect for all freeware designers who spend hours, months and years in their work and in the end they share it with others. But if you think you could do something better than okay. But take care. You try to compete with one of the 5 best freeware panels so you have my respect even though it's a project.Best RegardsManfred
