The burning question is, since it truly was available as a factory option, and since a handful of 727-200/223 ADV operators actually ordered the aircraft that way, shouldn't the Dreamfleet 727 have been released with autothrottle? Paul Golding keeps tap dancing whenever I bring the subject up. I even sent him a link to a real life photo of the switchplate and toggle switch for the autothrottle ......
