Captainsim 757

Just got this email:-1. To meet the numerous requests of our customers we havedecided to build and release one more update for the 757 Captain for discontinued FS9. We hope the version 2.2 will address some more issues to suitably complete the FS9 line of the 757 products. Ian

That's good news I haven't gotten the email yet but everyone with the captainsim fs9 version honestly deserves this update.

Power of the net it would seem, and possibly of AVSIM too, given the recent threads. Completely abandoning FS9 is not a wise choice for developers in my opinion, there are still a lot of buyers out there.I don't have the FS9 757, but I do have the FSX one, so I'm pleased for the FS9 owners. It's not perfect in FSX, but certainly usable, so it would be nice if FS9 buyers can enjoy at least a similar state of affairs. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones with CS: They come in for a lot of stick, but I've found the stuff I've bought from them (FS9 C130, 707 and 727, FSX 757 and weather radar add-on) has been largely trouble free, and when I have had issues, it ended up being my FS installation that was to blame, so unlike many, I've no issue with them.Al

Definitely agree with you Al I have the fs9 version and I also run fsx with acceleration I normally do the heavy fps airports or citys in fs9 and the less intensive things in fsx I haven't personally had any problems with captainsim I also have the fs9 B727 I still do think its a mistake not developing further for fs9.

Posted that same email in another topic on this forum...Anyhow, it's good news, but in the other thread people already managed to get cynical. irritates me to bits.

I hope they can find some more FPS in the update. The poor performance of their 757 is one thing I really dislike about it.JusJ

My FPS are fine with CS, in fact, that is one thing I can't complain about. I would like to see the database updates, gauge programming updated to reflect realistic fuel burn in center tanks first, realistic burn levels revised LNAV/VNAV behavior, CDU fixed to prevent the route disappearing when changing approach etc... Just the little things that would make it flyable ;) But I am glad to hear they listened and look forward to the update!-Paul

Have a Wonderful Day
