Is your o/s 32 bit or 64 bit?

August 17, 200916 yr Personally I'd go with FSX (FS10) as it looks much better/has some great new features than FS9, but it all depends if your system can handle it. Vista uses more resources, especially memory than XP, so you will need to really tweak it to get the most out of your system if you go the FSX route. Best, Michael KDFW
August 18, 200916 yr Have you thought of Win7? It may all be in the eye of the beholder, but I feel that smoothness in Win7 is better than I remember in XP - skip Vista, but as Jim says, it all depends on the PC specs...Oh, and FWIW, with XP you can't use DX10.. Louise London, UK
August 18, 200916 yr This topic will not be useful as it will start another fs9 vs fs10 debate. To get the answer easily yourself...by all means install fsx and see if it performs to your liking, if not, try out fs9. I personally prefer fs9 when everything is taken into account and I have a mid-high system. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
