August 15, 200916 yr When i try to put PMDG 737 on fsx, FSX crashes to desktop. I know it's not compatible until NGX comes out, but that won't be out for a while and i can't wait that long.I've seen on youtube of people having PMDG 737 in FSX, i just want to know if there's an aircraft.cfg or a panel modification to work in fsx. I really can't find a good 737 for fsx with a FMC other than Wilco's PIC, but the 300 and 500 model is out of service and i'd rather fly the 700 and 800 model. If anyone knows an aircraft.cfg modification to make PMDG 737 to work or knows of a good 737 model with a working fmc, please tell me.thanks
August 15, 200916 yr ... the 300 and 500 model is out of service ...REALLY! don't tell southwest airlines ... they only have a couple hundred in service!-- D. Scobie, feelThere support forum moderator: https://forum.simflight.com/forum/169-feelthere-support-forums/
August 15, 200916 yr Wilco's is good, and there are still a lot of them around. The A-Company's (shhhhh) 737-800 is very nice; I just made a flight from Oslo to Palma tonight using FS Passengers, terrifying everyone with my patented "dive of death." Those are the two 737s I am familiar with. They're both good, the Wilco is a better bargain, unless you really want a Next Gen, then you can check out the recent review of You Know Who's.

PMDG?and A-Company doesn't sound like a company.. You talking about Ariane?
August 15, 200916 yr Who is you know who? PMDG?and A-Company doesn't sound like a company.. You talking about Ariane?HelloYes Tim is talking about the Ariane 737NG, which happens to be the best 737NG in FSX untilthe PMDG is released.Only other option for a NG with a VC and FMC is to refit the Default 737 with Ernie Alstonsbrilliant ISG gauges.

Ok i'll try out the ISG gauges. But there isn't any aircraft.cfg mods to have pmdg 737 work in FSX?

I'm afraud we shall have to wait and see, becaus I won't be entirely surprised if Ariane's 737 is also the best after PMDG releases the NGX. August 19, 200916 yr Ok i'll try out the ISG gauges. But there isn't any aircraft.cfg mods to have pmdg 737 work in FSX?Have a look at the Orbx general discussion forum where you will find a long thread on getting the PMDG 737 to work in FSX. There are quite a few who seem to be able to get it to work (at least the 700 series- a few more hoops for the 800). In my case I can get the 2d panel to work but not the VC due to some problem with an overhead panel gauge. Give it a try, you will find detailed instructions in the thread and you may get lucky. In my case I have gone on an FSX payware aircraft spending spree (although not the A companies 737) so getting the PMDG 737 to work in FSX has assumed a lower priority.Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
