Have you tried in windowed mode? The activation dialog can sometimes appear behind FSX in full screen mode...

Yes I have but no luck. Anyone else having this problem?

Mine was hidden behind FSX as well ;)

Cheers,

Ok, now the other topic showing as well. But still no luck with the activation window. Have tried everything I could imagine (re-installing, rebooting, selecting the aircraft from different places, firewall and virus protection on/off, etc.)Getting a "bit" fustrated....Tuomas Hulkkonen

Tuomas-To help you we need more information.Give as much detail as you can regarding your operating system, what "protective" processes you have running, what steps you have taken to disable them (which isn't really a factor with this activation process- but it does eliminate some unknowns) and any modifications you have made to your machine.Something that appears to be pretty unqiue to your local machine is causing activation not to get triggered- so we need to work in by process of elimination. To put it another way: It is working on all (or nearly all?) customer's machines- so we need to determine what is different about your setup that causes this...Also- while you are answering question- please give a detailed description of what you are seeing during install and run...

Operating system if vista 64, i have f-secure firewall and antivirus protection which is disabled (also checked from processes and services), firewall for wireless router is also disabled,i have fsx with sp1 and sp2, other addons include leveld 767, active sky, fscopilot, and ivap. I have disabled DEP completely and UAC is not on. I have been trying to run and install with 'run as administrator' but this does not seem to make a difference.During the installation i see the installshiel wizard, i have selected the complete setup, folder is c:\microsoft flight simulator x, then the setup goes through and a command prompt -type of window quickly blinks on the screen. Should there be an announciation that the setup was succesfull (this i do not get?) Thanks you!Tuomas "unique problem" Hulkkonen :)

Hi.I to cannot get the activation window, this is the reason i believe for the zero volts and blank displays i am getting,i was in windowed mode, and at no time during install did it ask for any activation code to be entered, and i also got a brief flash of o small black panel to do with command type prompt window.I have windows XP with sp2/FSX +SP1+excelleration pack which puts FSX SP2 into it,i have aerosofts catalina, and i couple of fs9 freeware aircraft added to FSX which is on my F DISC,and fs9 on my C DISC,my specs are above the min reqiured, not by much, but it should still work,i really would like to start to learn this aircraft, but it is unflyable as is.regards alan cottrill.

I'm afraid I have an activation issue aswell,I purchased via PayPal,Download and install went fine,I started FSX and and selected the J41 from the menu and the activation window pops up,I then coppied/paste my key in the box and hit "Activate" but nothing happens,it sits there for awhile and then goes away with no confirmation,I was able to fly the aircraft but all the LCDs and glass panels were black. My system is Vista64 Quad core 9650,4gig ram GTX260Any help would be fantasticThank You

I also had a problem with the activation window, had to fight with alt+tab for a few times until I was able to write on it.

I had trouble with the activation window as well. After installing the J41 the activation window never came up. It simply wasn't there. I re-booted then opened up FSX and clicked on the J41 with anticipation. All I got was a black screen. Nothing happened for a couple of minutes and the egg timer finally disappeared. I had to go into windowa task manager to try to end FSX as FSX had frozen. Then I got the Microsoft error message to send/don't sent error report. I re-booted again. When my computer started up it went through the blue screen error checks and told me I had recovered from a serious error. I loaded FSX and the J41 again and the same happened - I got the black screen. This time the microsoft error message came up by itself after a couple of minutes. I got rid of it and opened up the windows task manger as FSX has frozen again. Just as the windows task manager appeared a little square box appeared on top of the black screen asking me to enter my activation code. There was no mention what it was for so I presumed it 'may' have something to do with the J41. I entered my code, okayed it, and it disappeared. I'm happy to say after re-booting yet again I was able to open up the J41 - very impressive if I may say so. There does appear there is something amiss with the activation window, especially when it didn't show, caused me to get error messages, and recover from a serious error on rebooting. That's all behind me now and I've just settled down to learn the mountain of information required to fly this little jem.I'm advising you of this for your information only.My system: Windows XP 64 bit. Dual core, Radeon HD4870 X2.Bruce RossNZ

Gents-Any of you having trouble with the activation window not showing up after selecting the J41 in the Free Flight menu for the first time, please do the following:1) Right click on your control bar (Bottom of the screen.) Select TASK MANAGER2) Click on the APPLICATIONS tab.3) If you see ONLINE ACTIVATION listed there, click on it... it will bring the activation menu forward. If this works for you- please let us know. If not- please let us know. Thanks!
