September 17, 200916 yr Hello,I've bought yesterday the J41 and I love it but I got 3 problems so that I have to stay on ground.1) The Condition Leveler is in flight position and I'm able to pull it back to taxi and to the feather position...no problem but when I want to push it forwards again, the levelers only move to taxi, I cannot move them to flight again. But surprise I can move them forward to flight again if I'm using the keyboard and press ctrl+f4 but with my mouse I cannot move them into the flight position...whats wrong??2) the checklist says in the category "acceptance check" that the gear pins should be stowed and I have read in the manual that they should be left from the catpains seat but they aren't there...how can I remove and then stow them??3) that the biggest problem why I stay on the ground is: Everything is fine, elec and so on...now the engine start and I'm doing it like the checklist and the manual tells me, I've even looked the youtube video for several times but my rpm is rising until 22% and the egt remains under 770
September 17, 200916 yr Marc,I am not able to help with 1 and 2 but your issue with 3 is the start latches. There is a pinned post on the main page which will solve this problem. It has something to do with pulling the power into full rev to unlock the latches. Justin Paull
September 17, 200916 yr or just unfeather the props via the switch directly below the power levers :) Eric [FSX on Windows7 64-bit]
September 17, 200916 yr The start locks need to be in place before starting the engines. Failure to do so will cause damage to the engines, leading to a broken shaft. You can leave the CL in taxi...Check the props (have a look out of the window...) and if the blades are feathered, you need to pull both power levers into full reverse, then operate the switch below the power levers on the central console to unfeather the blades. Click the switch to the left, then check the prop blades as the prop unfeathers. When the process is finished, click the unfeather switch to the right and wait the same amount of time it took for the left blade to unfeather.Once both props are completely unfeathered, you may proceed with the engine start... alt fuel pump on, ignition switch to the engine you wish to start, then press the start switch, monitoring the EGT...Once you have both engines running at idle, you can turn off the alt fuel pumps, turn on the generators, turn on the avionics power...Now you need to remove the start locks...Pull the left hand power lever with the mouse slowly back to reverse, so that the bottom of the power lever is aligned with the hashed region on the gate. Now do the same for the right hand power lever until you hear "start locks removed". Once you have heard the FO say that, you may advnace the power levers back to idle...You are now ready for taxi, assuming you have followed the checklists and all the other settings have been made...Taxi to the active, line up, advance CL to flight, advance PL to takeoff, and rotate at the respective bug speed...Have fun!Andrew Andrew Entwistle
September 17, 200916 yr thanks guys...now my engines are working well...only problem 1 is now to fix too...I think prob 2 is not important but I want to move the condition levelersany one here??another thing...how can I change the adf...I got 780.5 and want to have 415.0 ...so with the inner know I can change the first number(so that it is 4) and with the outer knob I can change the number after the dot(so that it is 0) but how I can change the 8 (so that it is a 1) and how can I change the 0 (so that it is a 5)thanks
September 17, 200916 yr Marc,After you move the condition levers to Flight using CTRL+F4, are you able to move them with the mouse again? The ADF tuning issue is a known problem, and will be fixed with SP1.
