New Boeing 737-800

Featured Replies

When will the Boeing 737-800 for FSX be released????Thanks!!Ciao,Alexander

Alexander,There are many topics about this. Search the forum for 737 NGX or 737 NG 2.0. The short answer is nobody knows when it will be released, but PMDG have stated that it is at least 6 months away from release. FYI-It's not just the 737-800, it's also the 600, 700, & 900 variants.Chad

Wasn't there another thread yesterday? Do any of these posters actually look at the forums before posting? I mean not even using the search function you could have seen another thread asking the same question.RegardsRichie

Really? Just so you know, FSX ships with a nice 737-800... It may not be fully simulated, but it should keep you occupied while PMDG makes their own.

Pretty sure that he was being sarcastic and pointing out the fact that some people on this forum can't seem to even live another day without some sort of update on the NGX.

There is No point is searching the forum for an answer when in fact as you state "nobody knows when it will be released". That is a stupid statement. The fact nobody knows the answer is precisely the reason why he posted the question!PMDG mentioned an update would be given after the realease of J41, and since that's been out for weeks already he is entitled to ask. But PMDG would rather treat their paying customers like little children, and believe they need to surprised sometimes like with a present. Do you see me keeping my boss in the dark forever and then suddenly saying one day: "surprise boss it's done!". NO.Time is already up to provide the report.

We could just try being patient?... I know it goes against the grain a bit.. but it's just an idea I'm putting out there...CraigEDIT: Just out of interest.. how many of you also e-mail BMW demanding to know when their next model will come out and know it's progress..... or Sony.. demanding to know when their next TV or console comes out.. or perhaps HP.. demanding to know when their printers will be updated.... and when they don't tell you drum your fists on the desk and scream.. "stop treating me like a chiiilllddd!!!!!!"..... I don't really see a difference between that and what you're saying above.. So you must do that too right? Perhaps realising how ridiculous that sounds will make you re-think.. <shrugs>

Craig,I think your edit is out of line. Most manufacturers especially cars have a set date for introducing new models. It's when we are given information about an upcoming model and then left completely in the dark that we become slightly annoyed. Many of us are waiting for products in order to make decisions about cockpit building and interfaces. So it's not just when the product will be available but other decisions that are affected.Rob

May somebody explain to me, where the point is?In these stupid asking threats and in answering them, as in abusing one another with insults. If one is interested in the PMDG 737NGX, he/she may be called an intelligent person, a stupid dumb nut wouldn't give a (word about the secretion of mammals) about such a complex plane. As intelligent he/she might consider him/herself, why isn't he/she smart enough to simply visit the PMDG website and look onto the product page dedicated to the upcoming 737NGX, where in red letters is written Coming 2010! and a graphic says indevelopment.jpg Maybe these two insignificant notes provide enough information to get a clue...Straight%20Face.gif

According to Rob, the 737 is two thirds finished. He also tells me that the guys will be in washington KBFI taking pictures of the flightdeck and aircraft, to incorporate some of the new technologies siniliar to the j41 VC etc.. Peter Osborn

Car manufacturers issue a date when a new car is ready for production.. i.e. designed.. developed... production line is designed.. supply chain designed.. parts are ready..... not when it's still on the drawing board (just like the PMDG 737 is still on the drawing board btw)... if you are right and what you say is the case.. please tell me when the new 5 series is coming out.. or when I can expect the replacement to the E90 M3.. There will be one, design work will have started already... Most likely it'll have been on the drawing board for a while now I'll be very annoyed if they can't tell me... I need to know right now, I can't possibly wait.. I'm not a child and it's absolutely vital for my garage considerations.. My post is not out of line.. it's exactly what everyone is asking just put in a different context to make you understand and see it from a different point of view.. As people that pay for these simulations it doesn't automatically give you or I a right to the knowledge of the status of their next product range and when it is expected to be ready.. You do have a right to demand answers if what is purchased is sub-standard and is subject to re-work.. such as warranty recalls etc... PMDG like any other company provide updates when there is actually something to update... Just like in the car industry.. The 737 PMDG is not safety critical to you... it's not vital... it's a flight simulation.. I say.. let's be realistic.. patient.. and just wait and see what is said.. in the mean time.. think about your cockpit designs and just don't commit yourself.. It's great that everyone is so interested and wants to know.. but sometimes you just have to wait.. there is nothing that can be done about it.. it's just how it is..Craig

Is there any kind of customer other than a paying customer? I certainly wouldn't want to give an update to our customers that don't pay. If you happen to know of any of our unpaying customers, could you please let us know? We'd really like to meet them.We really need to get this sorted out. We need to determine whether or not our unpaying customers deserve a public update on the NG2. We'll take it to committee, and vote on it. As soon as we make this determination, we will get you that update, that is of course unless we determine that unpaying customers shouldn't know, in which case we will need to contact you personally (and secretly) by telegram. Now go and finish your breakfast, little one.

LMAO Vin...perfect response. To Toxicdebt...I was simply trying to refer the inital poster to the countless threads about the NGX on the boards and then answer his question. Instead of saying that my comment was stupid, maybe you should have taken the time to comprehend what I was saying.Chad
