I say you should go with the 5870 or the 5850 even. Both perform very well and are right up there with the GTX 285, and exceed it at times. If you have lots of money to spend then you can wait till the 5890 or even get two 5850s in crossfire (providing you have enough space :(). I will be saving money to upgrade to the 5850 by the end of this year or early next year myself, and the prices should fall a little bit by that time, just so I can save some, and also because FSX and other games work pretty well with my current system :)
