I need a Bonanza

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I am looking for a good Bonanza for FSX, I can't run the Dreamfleet model b/c I have a 64 bit o/s and have no idea how to edit the panel.cfg. I used to have the carenado model in fs2004 but the guages were so slow I had difficulty flying it.Does anyone know of a good Bonanza payware or freeware for FSX I should go and get.I am asking because I am considering getting a real on once I finish my ppl and want to get a general feel for trip times etc...Thanks

Sweet, I will be all over this when it's out. The only one I could afford in the real world is one with a "vintage cockpit" anyway...

I've been working on modifying my DF A36 Bonanza to fly in FSX. I'm having a hard time getting everything I enjoyed in FS9 over to FSX. There are a few sceneries and a few planes that are having texture problems, but the A36 is on that I don't want to live without. The main problem has been the RealityXP gauges and some of the items related to modules associated with those files. I managed to swap a few default Beech Baron gauges into the panel using FSPanel Studio. So far I have to start with a different plane first then switch to the Bonanza otherwise I encounter a problem with the gauges trying to find a particular dll and it causes crash to desktop after a few seconds. There is a prompt that repeats about 15 times stating Realty XP Service Module cannot be found even if you place it in the same location as where FS9 expects it to be. I haven't resolved that without removing all RealityXP gauges. Once the aircraft is up and running it still looks fine all around and flies to my satisfaction.I am still WINXP

I've got the Bonanza flying quite nicely in FSX (except for the Aft-Door light which I cannot get rid of).Sample from the panel.cfg://-------------------------------------------------------- Left Landing View Panel.....gauge00=RXPFLT!Airspeed, 311,501,125,124gauge01=RXPFLT!TurnCoordinator, 310,637,124,124gauge02=dfa36ec!VAC, 223,677,87,87gauge03=RXPFLT!KI256, 442,497,137,130gauge04=dfa36ec!KFC285B, 583,440,138,46gauge05=RXPFLT!Altimeter, 583,501,125,124gauge06=RXPFLT!VerticalSpeed, 583,637,124,121gauge07=dfa36ec!MAP, 747,456,81,80gauge08=dfa36ec!TACH, 747,544,81,80gauge09=dfa36ec!FF, 747,631,81,80gauge10=dfa36ec!CHT, 747,719,81,80gauge11=RXPGNS!GMA340, 861,421,252,52gauge12=RXPGNS!GNS530, 861,474,252,189gauge13=dfa36ec!PLACARD1, 234,559,75,14gauge14=dfa36ec!PLACARD2, 329, 452 ,90,41gauge15=dfa36ec!PLACARD3, 706,700,34,108gauge45=dfa36ec!KN62, 861,663,252,52gauge17=dfa36ec!CS_FLT, 0,61,175,456gauge18=dfa36ec!CS_MAINRL, 862,313,162,100gauge19=dfa36ec!CS_MAINL2, 251,323,558,100gauge20=dfa36ec!CS_PLL, 1,1,1,1gauge21=dfa36ec!OAT, -1,528,171,239gauge22=dfa36ec!ANNUN, 532,386,344,24gauge23=dfa36ec!AAS, 442,453,30,28gauge24=dfa36ec!DMESW, 477,453,30,28gauge25=dfa36ec!NAVGPS, 547,453,30,28gauge26=dfa36Sandel_3308!secehsi, 441,631,136,136gauge27=dfa36ec!COMPASS, 889,274,63,40gauge28=dfa36ec!ATCID, 759,425,58,27//gauge29=RealityXP_FL430XP_DFA36!DEV_SELECT_SWITCH, 513,453,30,29....

I forgot to mention the light. It never goes off in mine as either.

Thanks everyone for your replies.Bert, would this panel.cfg change the guages in the VC also?

Yes, but you need the RXP FLT gauges for FSX, as wellas the RXP GNS for it to work. Send me a PM with your e-mail addressif you would like a copy of the panel file.
