Majestic Software

I read the review of the Dash 8 and I am interested in adding it to my collection. When I go to the Majextic web site my IE displays a security certificate warning and recommends not entering the site. Has anyone purchased thru the Majestic site, and were there any security issues?ThanksLouis

I bought the Dash 8 some time ago, no issues at all. I just checked the site again in Firefox, no warnings came up.I'm not using the plane anymore, though, the graphics (both 2D and VC) are very poor. A shame, really, because it is otherwise an in-depth simulation.

HelloI have the Majestic Dash 8 and fully agree the graphics are not the bestOn the plus side the support from the developer is first class and it is the best Dash8 we are going to get for some time to come.I fly it in FS9 and FSX and it flies well in both sims, but I feel it is best in FS9

I heard earlier there were issues with the autopilot bouncing the plane. Is that taken care of by now? Thanks

To answer the second part of your question - It's a good idea to heed the warnings you get like that, but to use your intelligence to determine whether or not the warning is correct. Typically, if you are going to site that is known to be reputable like that, you can ignore warnings like that. So, no, I highly doubt there are any security issues with the site. The warning to really listen to is one that says that a site you are about to go to is KNOWN to be a security risk. The warning that a sites security certificate is out of date is usually pretty innocuous.

I bought the dash8 300, and I am impressed by the systems depth. But the freeware quality cockpit panel graphics and VC is horrible. I am also annoyed by the occasional shakes in level flight, even when i'm not overspeeding the a/c. Also when I hand fly it is very twitchy. Reviews by users and websites alike seem to praise their dash, so I'm dumbfounded by the issues I experience, it seem a little overrated imho.It would be nice if they can iron out those issues in an update. I do appreciate them adding Navigraph nav data capability, and alas, it is the only dash 8 for FSX until PMDG comes to the rescue! I am spoiled now by PMDG's jetstream.
