Is it just me, or does every thread on here these days get taken over by the Eaglesoft marketing machine?I often think that I've mistakenly gone to the ES forum, instead of AVSIM!This thread, classic example, we have Ron, Ed and Bill with us, slowly evolving the original question into a discussion on Eaglesoft's forum and support policies.I don't want a another war Ron, but I am as entitled to speak here as you are, and I think I'm making a very reasonable observation! Here's a smiley; :( ...and let's keep it friendly.I believe AVSIM was set up for the FS hobby as a whole, and of course as well as users that includes developers. But some people are pushing it a bit and someties forget (when defending their products for example), that they're on a public forum for all, where balance will prevail, not on the forums of their own marketing machines.
I'm not just a developer, I'm a FS customer as well. I purchase addons for my own personal use. I suggest the issue here is you, not I.

If people are prepared to hang out on these forums and take the time to participate in discussions, then good for them, wether they represent a product or not. I think we are all old enough and clever enough here to form our own opinions, and read between the line sometimes. I think its a good thing that the developers of many products have a presence here, it shows they are keeping in touch with their buying public.Cheers, Mark

The only thing I posted was in response to a "sweeping generalization." The claim was made that (every) developer's forums were closed to non-licensed owners. I simply pointed out that this wasn't true for our forums at least.

If you want more Reviews, try out to be a Reviewer! It's nice that you want more stuff, but not so nice that you want the volunteers to work harder for you. There's no shortage of items to review. The list of add-ons that is available to Reviewers is at this moment as long as I've ever seen it. If you can fly, think, and write, you should consider writing Reviews with the AVSIM team! It's just you and a few of your close friends David. :( For the record. I and others who are now developers started as flight sim enthusiasts and have remained flight sim enthusiasts despite the fact that we now wear developer hats. What that means David is that I and others are members in good standing at Avsim. It also means that we have as much right to post anywhere in these forums as you do.I happen to know a fact that you may not want to acknowledge. That fact is these forums are not your "private playground" where you are allowed to post outright false allegations and not be held acoountable. We've also had the pleasure of meeting a number of Avsim staff and moderators over the years and find them to be fair minded and even handed gentemen one and all. We're not sure about that Geofa guy though.. :(
