August 16, 201015 yr @Hodge001: Great repaint you do there, but on the GMAJM the correct fonts are missing.. I've done this one too some time ago, and mine looks like this, I think it better fits the real counterpart:If anyone likes to have this one, I'd upload it somewhere.. Regards. August 17, 201015 yr Hi MatthiasThanks for the feedback, I did mention in the reply to the original request, that at presnt I did not have the correct font and had used the closest that I had at the time, and that I would keep looking for it, and if and when I found the correct font, that I would update her and upload the updated files, but it seem you have beaten me to it, and saved me a possibly long trawl of the web looking for the font. So thanks for the assist.Take care, and thanks again.Jim Hodkinson
August 17, 201015 yr Ok Jim, now here is a challenge for you mate..... Would it be possible to do a purely fictional scheme on the JS41 for the Victorian (Australia) Police, in the style of their helicopters? Many many thanks my friend.Dale. Cheers, Dale.
August 17, 201015 yr Hi DaleNow that is a bit interesting. I have to say I would like to see how it would look on the J41, let me see what I can come up with.Take care, and back when I have something (hopefully).Jim Hodkinson
August 17, 201015 yr Hi DaleWell I had some spare time available so I though I would have a go at the Victoria POLICE colour scheme, so if this is close to what you were expecting, and would like to take her for a spin, then here is the download link for the files..http://www.filefront.com/17209217/J41_VIC_POL_01.zipAs usual, and especially on this repaint, if you want anything changing, adding or removing, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
August 17, 201015 yr Ah sry must have over-read this ;) When I did this repaint I found that the tail writing is a standard-font of Photoshop called "Lao UI". As I couldn't find and adequate font for the handwritten "passionate.." logo I did a workaround on the image I found on the website which is menshened on the airplane. Don't know how this would be in legal way, that's why I didn't put it into download anywhere. Unfortunately the PSD file has gone missing after migrating to Win7, but the only thing I'm not satisfied with is the position of the Eastern Airways logo in the front. Anyway, keep up the good work on all those high-quality repaints! :( Regards. Matthias Hanel MilViz Beta Team
August 18, 201015 yr Hi DaleWell I had some spare time available so I though I would have a go at the Victoria POLICE colour scheme, so if this is close to what you were expecting, and would like to take her for a spin, then here is the download link for the files..http://www.filefront..._VIC_POL_01.zipAs usual, and especially on this repaint, if you want anything changing, adding or removing, then just let me know and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim HodkinsonFantastic Jim, love her! That Helo scheme really suits the 41 I must say, thanks again mate, very much appreciated! Dale. Cheers, Dale.
August 18, 201015 yr Hi DaleThanks for taking the time out to send the feedback and the generous comments, both are really appreciated, and you were right, it did suit her.The one thing about fictional colour schemes is that it’s really hard to get them wrong.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
August 18, 201015 yr Hi MatthiasI think that the "Lao UI" font is actually the one that I used, but I had transferred all the masters of my repaints onto another system so can’t chack at the moment, but thanks for the heads up.As for the use of an image from say a companies web site, now I do not have any proof of the legality of this comment, but I think that as long as you are not using the image for profit or to falsly or maliciously reprsent the particular company, then you should be OK, as I say if this has any leagal standing I have no idea. And you have my sympathy regarding the system crash, thay are no a lot of fun and I hope that you did not loose to much data.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson
August 19, 201015 yr Hi Jim ! Your works are simply great. Can I ask you, if you had time, a JS41 on a private livery ? I saw one with light blue and blue strips but I can't find it anymore. It wasn't something of complicated, just this couple of light blue/blue lines running down the fuselage, with three of them on the tail, and, if you can of course, could you please put M-JABL as ident ?Thank you very much ! :)Hallo, pete
August 19, 201015 yr Hi Jim,I loved the Vic Police one so much, I thought I would try another with you mate!Queensland Emergency Services, based again on their Helo scheme, should look great on the 41!Thanks again Jim, you are one of the backbones of this flightsim community mate.Dale. Cheers, Dale.
August 19, 201015 yr Hi PeteI have to admit that I honestly can not remember doing this one, but memory is not my best subject, I only did a couple of private registered repaints for the J41, and the only one that comes close to your description is the one shown (hopefully) below, so if this is the one you were after then here is a download link for the files..http://www.filefront.com/17215336/J41_M_JABL_01.zipIf this is not the colour scheme, could you post a photograph of the colour scheme you had in mind, or possibly a link to one.Jim HodkinsonHi DaleSorry about that, I have only just seen your post.As for the request, well it could be fun, let me see what I can come up with, although it may be a little later as I have a couple of errands to get out of the way before I can make a start.Take care, and back as soon as I have something for you.Jim Hodkinson
August 19, 201015 yr Hi Jim,it's wonderful ! You are very kind, and you do great works ! Thanks very much, if there's anything I can do, please ask ;)Hallo, PeteAh, could you please post or send me the other private liveries ? It would be great :)Thanks again :(
August 19, 201015 yr Hi DaleI managed to have ago at the EMQ request; this one was not a straight forward as the Victoria POLICE version, mainly with trying to get a good place to finish the main blue area as I had to get the two red stripes to be above the wing surface (they looked a little odd below it, and could probably do with being a little thinner), so the start of the ventral fin seemed to be a good enough place as it provided a natural break, so if you want to take here for a spin to see what areas you may want altering, then here Is the download link for the files..http://www.filefront.com/17216239/J41_EMQ_01.zipLet me know of any changes, additions or subtractions and I will try my best to assist.Take care, and have fun.Jim Hodkinson@ PeteLet me have a look through my backups, and see what exactly I do have, I will then post the links for the files.
