I'm here mate, just keeping my head down at the moment. To be really honest,all this nonsense has really made me question why I bother with Flight Simming as a hobby any more. To ice the cake, I was actually abused over at the OzX site by some random visitor whom amongst the vitriol, accused me of stealing a repaint that her 'friend' had made. Turns out it was actually one of mine he had 'borrowed' and called his own at a well known virtual airline site....

...and has anyone else noticed how bad the 'new' search engine in the library is, it does not seem to matter what you type, it throws up just about every file in the data base... maybe it's just me... :Hypnotized:

Hi Rob,Did you get this fixed? Usually its an inconsistency in the aircraft.cfg [fltsim] entries. If you can look at the entry you posted from the download into the C185 aircraft cfg and compare it to the other entries you already have, you may pick up the issue,did you put it into the amphib folder? Is the texture name the same as listed in the aircraft.cfg entry, etc etc. There are a lot of variables that can make it go pear shaped.Cheers,Dale.

These fixes only shift the actual effect of the light flashing, it doesn't actually move the mis-placed beacon light, which I guess would need a model update.

Just my counter thoughts to the vexatious thread of recent days.I LOVE the J41, it runs as smooth as silk on my relatively modest system, and I have not yet seen a better VC, nor systems presentation in any other aircraft in my voluminous FSX hangar. Seems to have been fixed now, just redownloaded, bigger file, all seems ok! Thanks guys.

Resolved. I completely uninstalled the JS4100, reinstalled base pack, SP1, then newly downloaded repaints, working fine!
