any payware turboprop twin for charter work?

Featured Replies

It just dawned on me, that FSX doesn't have any good TP twin available that could be used for charter work.FS9 had that amazing B200 by aeroworx, I think. Awesome that waswhat does FSX have? anyone know of my choices at the payware level?thanks

Ciao!

The PMDG BAe JS4100 is a hell of plane, that's a very good choice. I personally love the Flight1 BN2 Islander and I also really like the Aerosoft DHC6 Twin Otter, but these last two might not be what you are looking for.

I don't have the JS41 but apparently it's the plane to own hehe. The BN2 is actually not a turboprop, but the Twin Otter is.FSX still needs a good turboprop. Aka King Air... The only choice is the PC12 for now.

The DA Piper Cheyenne FSX V4.0 springs to mind

Cheers, Dale.

The J-41 is a must own for sure and I love that plane. I also agree that the B200 King Air is desperately needed in FSX as it's about the most popular turbo charter plane out there. Anyone hear anything on the Flight1 model that was being worked on? Hopefully the long delay is because they're doing it correctly similar to the FS9 version! Would like an update though if anyone knows anything. Spud

HelloIf you bought the FS9 Cheyenne through simmarket the FSX version is 19.28 Euros .The FSX version is very good on the FPS and you can retrofit the RXP Garmin430 in place of the Trimble if you wish. From Simmrket."UPDATE- INFORMATION:The customers that have purchased the FS2004 version at simMarket (DIGITAL AVIATION PIPER CHEYENNE) will automatically be awarded the update price of only EUR19.28 (+ VAT where applicable). For this to happen you must be logged into your same account used to purchase the previous version."Bargain

The only thing I gathered from the WIP thread was that the project was being pushed back to accommodate others... namely Cessna's wishes...There was, at one time, an external model preview shown which looked fairly far along. I would love to see an analogue king air. BE9L, C90B, B350/200, heck I'll take a queen air!I also retrofitted my Aeroworx FS9 version for X but it didn't work very well. Besides being a FPS hog, the autopilot and EFIS gauges did not work. I essentially modded the a/p to work with bendix king default a/p. And only the analogue "steam" gauged model would fly.

Now that'd be cool! The first plane I ever flew in - They're built like tanks. Think that'd be a good project for Real Air honestly...I also tried the retrofit for the Aeroworx B200 into FSX. Was ok for a while (the non-efis version) but had graphics issues fairly often so I removed it. Hopefully flight1 version of the B200 is still in the pipe and if not it'd be a crying shame unless someone else is working on one such as PMDG? (yeah, don't see that happening but I can dream). F1 would do a good job I think - they've got lots to live up to from the FS9 version though, BUT they wouldn't let us down right?

I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone at RealAir for quite some time :( But they were at one point working on a turboprop version of the awesome Duke. The TP was a mod by Rocket Engineering irl. So if that was completed their Duke would basically be a king air of some sort hehe.http://www.royalturbine.com/

I'm surprised no one's recommended the Carenado Cessna Caravan.

because it is not a twin....! if I am not mistaken the heading read "any payware turboprop twin for charter work?"

I did forget about the caravan, mostly (a word?) used for cargo, but some do use them for pax charter. That is a great plane and I love it, so I could use it I guess, until something better shows up..

Queen Air?? Thats the most under powered pig Beech ever produced, well next to the Musketeer! Theres a reason you dont see many except at accident sites :(
