Yup, I got a bit confused as well as to who I was suggesting what to. My previous post was for a computer running fs9. I would think you should def go for one of the i cores and atleast a 260 graphics card if you intend to run FSX. I'm not much help for FSX as I don't use it, nor do I really have a computer good enough for it, but I do run fs9 locked at 60fps with all add-ons.

I'm heading towards an i5 with either an nvidia 260 or a Radeon 5770 graphics card. A small local firm will build a computer to my specs.William

Sounds like a good plan. Unless things have changed, and they may have, a NVIDA GPU has the best drivers for Flight Simulator.
