December 15, 200916 yr I have only 4 days with the ASA, I see the following problems:1 .- The clouds are on the floor :( . 2 .- Changes severe of wind causes OverSpeed in my aircraft :( .Here some pictures:Thank you,Josman

December 16, 200916 yr Hi,#1 is an FSX bug. I would point you to a FSX/Real weather thread that shows this in the past 2 days, but I don't think I can remember where it was that I read it.#2. Put your Dynamic Reat of Change Slider at zero and see if that helps. Thanks,
December 16, 200916 yr Author Hi,#1 is an FSX bug. I would point you to a FSX/Real weather thread that shows this in the past 2 days, but I don't think I can remember where it was that I read it.#2. Put your Dynamic Reat of Change Slider at zero and see if that helps.Thanks,#1 This is a problem if you have an airport just where this cloud.#2 But if I put "Dynamic Reat of Change" at zero would not change anything for my flight (clouds, wind and weather)?????. Can I use the "Wind Smoothing" in my FSUIPC ? or it have problem with ASA?Thank you
December 16, 200916 yr Hi,#2. Weather will still change. If you use FSUIPC, do not use DWC in ASA.Thanks,
January 29, 201016 yr Author Hi,Definitely the overspeed problem is changes in TAT temperature. In truth, this problem should be solved for us. With my A320 I have overspeed or N1 problem because of sudden changes TAT temp.Josman
January 29, 201016 yr Would moving the Dynamic Rate of Change slider away from zero potentially solve the problem of the upper winds 'sticking'? Petraeus
January 29, 201016 yr Author Would moving the Dynamic Rate of Change slider away from zero potentially solve the problem of the upper winds 'sticking'? Hi Petraus, I tested in same flights with DRC slider in zero, but the origen problem is the "errant TAT". I have Overspeed or N1 problem because this problem.Jump from -10 to +40 I have N1 problem in my engine.Jump from +40 to -10 OverSpeed Problem.Temporally I have disable DWCS and I am using FSUIPC with Wind Smoothing in ON.Thank youJosman
February 5, 201016 yr Hi Mr. Skorna: With this wind situation, Could this be involved with two of flights I had to make emergency landing with.http://www.air-source.us/phpbb3/viewtopic....f=24&t=3136http://www.air-source.us/phpbb3/viewtopic....f=24&t=3982Ever since then I only download current snapshot while on the ground before pushback then disactivate auto download.I miss posting my PIREPS through ASA but rather have a safe flight.

February 5, 201016 yr Tyrone,I'll respond at Air Souce a bit later.Everyone else,B435 has been out as a beta for a long time. It has no fixes for this issue! So it is very possible that he is using B435.
February 7, 201016 yr Read all about it here.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=264954HiFiSim are not rushing to fix it.Jim,It would be advisable to revisit the topic ASA on cloud height generation. I think Patraeus was correct in arguing his point. This doesnt appear to be a FSX bug as you state.Let's take KABQ tonight as an example:METAR KABQ 070056Z 15005KT 10SM FEW060 SCT100 SCT200 08/M03 A2994 KABQ sits at 5355 MSL. We'll round that to 5400.Based on the above weather, the nearest scattered clouds are showing 6000 feet AGL. ASA should be supplying the associated cloud layer to the sim as 11,400'MSL (5400+6000). It seems rather obvious to us that ASA coded to interpret the cloud layer altitudes as MSL numbers when they are in fact published as AGL.All ASA needs to know is the aerodrome altitude and then convert the metar figures to MSL. Rather simple fix to eradicate cloud erroneous cloud to ground intersections. Ryan Kelly
