January 21, 201016 yr HiAfter new install of 64bit OS I tested fs9 with long range flight (PMDG B747) and everything worked OK, no mem leak or anything. Now I'm curious what do You think about Ultimate terrain USA&Canada, is it worth it.Main consideration is possible memory leak. I don't want to have any memory leak after installation. Don You experience any?On flight EDDF (EDDF 2008+UT Europe)-KJFK (DreamTeam) maximum memory usage was 1.2Gb which is OK.Also in case of buying should I have a problems after installation UT USA above all the paywares I have?Or should I move UT USA bellow all scenery's I have (via scenery settings in FS2004-move down)? ThanksEdin
January 21, 201016 yr Patch up FS9 to make it large address space aware (i.e. the same patch that is used in conjunction with the /3GB switch) and you should be good to go. Personally, I use UT USA, Canada & Europe with my FS9 patched up and I haven't had an OOM ever since converting to x64. I have my UT at the bottom of the list, just above default sceneries. There are some conflicts (with Flightscenery PDX for example - but not a showstopper), but they're mostly minor and most sceneries have patches that take care of them. January 21, 201016 yr It really adds to the realisim for VFR flying and most people design the scenery around UT now as most hardcore simmers use it..The 3D night lighting does effect your autogen, so keep this in mind. (I do not use the 3D night lighting).KPDX does have a UT patch that has gone way ward now (it was linked on the old forums) but I have it, if anyone needs it PM me. Al Stiff

It's eliminated OOMs.James
January 22, 201016 yr I wouldn't fly without them. They are great and I've never had a problem with them. The only "problem" with this is it ruins flying outside UT coverage areas because everything looks so plain after flying in UT. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

January 22, 201016 yr Thanks to all.I'm going to buy.EdinI have all three UT series, Canada/Alaska, USA and Europe. I did, however, run into annoying problem with UT USA - it messed up the shoreline and the placement of buildings in Waikiki, Honolulu, HI. I tried many solutions - none seemed to work. Now, if I want to fly around Honolulu, I have to deactivate the UT USA. Has anyone else run into the same problem and has a workable solution?Ted

Google QLRP4UT and the top entry will take you to the author's website.Iain Smith
