Has anyone seen the screenshots?Looks pretty good.Just happy that there is competition for Trop Sims sub par sceneries as of late. :( http://www.flycay.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2451... just realized Tropical Sim has announced their scenery as well ... funny... this is the first time that they announce a scenery like that.I guess the spirit of competition will do that.http://www.tropicalsim.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=95

Thanks for the heads up. I will probably be a buyer of one of these versions since I fly the Sao Paulo to Rio route pretty often. I was just in Rio a few weeks ago on vacation and my flight on the way by stopped at SBGR enroute to KDFW and the screen shots in the links look pretty good compared to what I saw in real life. Now if someone would just do some thing about the rest of Sao Paulos autogen, or the lack of it compared to what it looks like in real life with all the highrise buildings and the lack of them in FSX.

  • 1 month later...

the first one has nice ground and phototerrain, but the second release has suberb buildings. I'm using both together, lvfr's terrain and tsim's airport.

The guys at Latin VFR area really nice and offer good support on their forums. I think I am going to have to skip this one though. I would be more likely to purchase it and their other recent products if they didn't have the photoreal ground textures. I'd rather see default textures that blend better. Look at the AVSIM review for Kingston - it says the same thing. When they stop using these ground texture, I'll be a LatinVFR customer again. It is such a shame because they are producing a lot of needed airports. A note to developers:Please stop using photoreal ground textures. Just give me the airport scenery and enhance the surrounding area.

MSFS Premium Deluxe Edition; Windows 11 Pro, I9-9900k; Asus Maximus XI Hero; Asus TUF RTX3080TI; 32GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR4 3600; 2X Samsung 1TB 970EVO; NZXT Kraken X63; Seasonic Prime PX-1000, LG 48" C1 Series OLED, Honeycomb Yoke & TQ, CH Rudder Pedals, Logitech G13 Gamepad

Unfortunately I've had my fingers burnt twice with LatinVFR. I find many of their airport textures suffer badly from flickering and shimmering. They're a nice bunch but they really need to revisit their existing airports and bring the textures up to scratch before releasing others, which they seem to with regularity!Quality not quantity please guys!

Well I went and read the Kingston review before replying and from that review, they did a really bad job on the photoreal part. They used very low quality source data and just did a poor job based on the images. With that being said, I hope developers DON'T take your advice, photoreal, especially with great source data and done right really enhances scenery in FSX so much more than trying to blend default textures which is next to impossible with quality settings, they don't blend so you have sharp lines between landclass.

Best, Michael
