February 24, 201016 yr I seem to be developing a new speech problem (possibly XP based again?).I am starting to say "One" and "No" a lot, and sometimes even "N One", even though I am staying completely silent.I think I remember the same happening with Voice buddy, when I tried that years ago. That is the reason I lost faith with it.Now with FS2Crew, this doesn't pose much of a problem, as my First Officer just ignores me (a bit like my wife manages to do most days).Anyone else having this problem?Neil.PS. who is the cute cabin crew who says the cabin is all ready before start? Sounds a bit scandinavian and gorgeous. If she is ever at London City airport, tell her to visit the Control Tower, as I would love to meet her :(
February 24, 201016 yr "No", "off" and "bad" are my "ghost"-words, also with XP.BUT I'm happy that the whole thing works so good!
February 24, 201016 yr "No", "off" and "bad" are my "ghost"-words, also with XP.Those words work well when my cat strolls proudly (and in no hurry at all) across my keyboard when I "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"
February 25, 201016 yr I have these ghost words also. "Off" seems to be very common and causes problems when running a checklist. In the Before Start checklist, when the FO calls Parking Brakes, about 50% of the time the ghost "Off" is registered and the FO accepts that. The Parking checklist... well, you can imagine.James

Are you guys using headsets or microphones? You'll want to eliminate as much possible ambient background noise as possible. B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord

If you need it, you won't get it.Bryan, not that major problem, I've no background noise here, so there are my own sounds only. Not a problem, but I think, as I'm using headset, there are breath, smacker and whatever. It's absolutely clear and understandable that you can't get voice recognition as smooth and clear as you maybe want to. :(
February 26, 201016 yr Author I have my super duper new Beyerdynamic headset, which has a noise reduction filter on it.I have no background noise whatsoever (I ban the wife and kids from the room!)It doesn't cause any real problems, just the green bar coming up a lot.Still having fun with this!Neil
February 26, 201016 yr Commercial Member Just something to try...My crack researcher, Kimmo, has learned that apparently SAPI 5.1 (that's the version that is available for XP (Win 7/Vista user higher versions) will reset your microphone settings when the SAPI engine gets loaded (that happens when you load the FS2Crew Main Panel). So try this if using XP:After FS2Crew loads, re-check your microphone settings, especially for sensitivity.
