The plane was discontinued in REAL LIFE as a new plane.
So too was the MD-11 and JS4100That said. the aircraft I'd most be interested in Personally would be:737-700/800 v2777 -dash-anything with tail mounted taxi cameras fully modeled in an MFD et alA330 that actually works, unlike another payware product which can't fly SIDs to save itself, and isn't even as good as some freeware available in FS9 (Tu154M)That said, if PMDG made a 717 I would deftinatley be buying it, and it might well get me (and other people to boot) flying on Vatsim in Western Australia more often, since Qantaslink utilize the 717 out there. Who knows, Perth might wake up from being the deserted city on Vatsim that it currently is and become a boom town :(

Wish Qantaslink would finally put some entertainment in their 717s, flying from Alice Springs to Perth (3 hours over the GAFA) is quite the ordeal compared to a 738 or 763. Pretty quiet inside tho.Cheers, SLuggy

I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?

A couple of companies have made the Boeing 717 including Jet City, The Vans, and Perfect flight. The worst is the perfect flight and the cans and jet city are both very good.http://www.flightsimulatorguide.com/review...p?file=248#nogohttp://www.flightsimulatorguide.com/review...ls.php?file=247http://www.flightsimulatorguide.com/review...ls.php?file=108Even though this aircraft is not needed now, it may be a good candidate in the future. Through the flight sim forums I have seen different aircraft that people say are "needed" and the ones that really pop out at me are some learjets like Gulfstreams and Challengers, and the A380 :) I guess the flight sim community will decide the next aircraft. :(

Oopppss. I meant to vote yes. I would LOVE to see a boeing 717. The cockpit reminds me of a much smaller version of my favorite aircraft. The MD-11!!! :( Maurice N.

FeelThere's E-Jets are almost up to the level of PMDG (Only missing failures), and it has been tossed around that they will make a 717.
Sorry but I can't resist this one...In my opinion the FeelThere aircraft are nowhere near PMDG level regarding realism, or nowhere near Level-D or FSLabs for that matter.Take their ERJ v2, and you'll see the standby instrument's attitude indication is unable to maintain level whenever the engines are not running. As if it were a vacuum instrument! Better yet, at one time in their support forum one guy from Wilco actually told a customer that this is how the real aircraft behaves. Yeah sure! So should you have an all-engine out inflight, the instrument supposed to go out last (stand-by) would actually be useless first. This is just a small example of their quality level. There's much more. Of course those aircraft DO have good things, but still, even if you don't count failures, they are nowhere near among the best.Regards,Markus

I voted yes on the 717, although it would not be my top choice. I would definitely love to see the 737, 777 and A320 series before that, along with a CRJ and a BAe-146/AvroRJ. Still, if PMDG (or someone) came out with a high quality 717, I would be all over it.

Couldn't agree more with you. I think the ERJ v2 is the best RJ available (I give credit to the DA Fokker, but now that I've moved to FSX find it almost useless without a VC), but it still needs a long way to make it to PMDG level. I would love to see a PMDG, LDS or A2A RJ.

I voted yes but after thinking about it i would say no. the reason is it just doesn't grab me..

Hmmm. After reading this, I wished I'd come here first before getting my Wilco PIC 737 and CRJ. I too would have to agree on Feelthere. At least on the CRJ. On FSX my CRJ doesn't work well as far as engines go. Tried to get help from support at Wilco. YIKES took me two weeks to get no help. On FS9 it works wonderful I will add in fairness. So I picked up PIC 737. I actually like it. My rig is old so I am in FS9 for now.I have heard PMDG are really good products from someone else too. :( So from what I have read with FScrew etc, I think what would be more fun, is the 3 crew aircraft of old. As a RW pilot these newer modeled aircraft are great as they fly themselves and for the new simmer, I bet it is a lot of fun learning what we do. From my perspective I would love the added challenge of doing more stick and rudder ops via a crew. Not much of a fan of having a 717 sim out there.

Respectfully,

Jet

You are very lucky you didn't buy a 737 from a certain developer. I am still waiting for the key after one week.
