February 25, 201115 yr I'm currently flying CYVR-KOAK and the interpolation bug has cropped up again. Winds were correct over CYYJ with wind out of the northeast. Now ASE has latched on to an interpolated station with winds out of the southwest, when they should be out of the northeast! So now I'm stuck with a 70 knot headind where I should have a 70 knot tailwind! Very frustrating...
February 25, 201115 yr Hi,What server is ASE connected to? You can read that in the window on the Main screen. You may need to scroll to near the beginning of the log.

February 26, 201115 yr Hi,We checked the servers this afternoon and everything was OK. We would need ASE logs if this is still happening.
March 3, 201115 yr Author I'm currently flying CYVR-KOAK and the interpolation bug has cropped up again. Winds were correct over CYYJ with wind out of the northeast. Now ASE has latched on to an interpolated station with winds out of the southwest, when they should be out of the northeast! So now I'm stuck with a 70 knot headind where I should have a 70 knot tailwind! Very frustrating...After a few days without flights, today the problem as described is back. :( Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)
March 4, 201115 yr Hi,Yes that's right, I send an email 3 days ago to Damian with the log but nothing in return thank you Hifsim. It's like when the cloud disappeard two years ago and nobody wanted to believe........Christian
March 4, 201115 yr Christian,You were kind enough to provide logs and such. Please note that before I went to work, I forwarded your information to the programming team to look at and that I have let them know that the server MAY be out of sync again. I am not going to keep asking everyone else for supporting data to help us out. Thanks again for your help in this matter.
March 4, 201115 yr Christian,I am also e-mailing you, but just for the record, the servers have been working 100% both primary and secondary. We would appreciate a specific date/time/location where this can be duplicated. Screenshots showing the interpolated details of the station(s) in question would also be very helpful.
March 7, 201115 yr Author What do you need to solve this problem? You cant say everything is ok on your side. Flying today with a friend and he had exactly the same wrong wind.Look at this interpolated station:ALL (all) 4 non-interpolated stations are showing the correct wind from the north!!Just make a flight in this area and see it for yourself. Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)
March 7, 201115 yr Hi,Now compare the data in ASE to the real world data, say from NOAA, and see what happens. And for the surface winds: 130 is not the North, 90 is not the north, 100 is not the north and 110 is not the north, so 90 IS correct. You are not seeing any of the winds aloft data on the Interpolation Details screen so please compare winds aloft with NOAA winds aloft data near this station.
March 7, 201115 yr Author I was flying at FL240. I selected the 4 non-interpolated station in the ID field and they were all showing wind from NE @FL240. That is the correct wind aloft. I always dont talk about METAR. Winds ALOFT! Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)
March 7, 201115 yr Author Here as example EDDB: (you see the northwind??) Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)
March 8, 201115 yr Hi,The winds aloft data is coming from actual data stations even if the current station in ASE in interpolated. I have learned this along the way in this thread so if I earlier stated something different, then my knowledge is different now.
March 8, 201115 yr Hi Creppel,They don't want understand.......we have to live with this bug.Christian

I have learned this along the way in this thread so if I earlier stated something different, then my knowledge is different now.Ok, but please explain to me where that damned 180° wrong wind comes along. It can´t come from actual data because then it would show northern wind. Regards, Christoph Reppel (FSX, Win7 64-bit, I7)
