April 27, 201016 yr It's me again, having the next problem with Mega Airport Barajas X again...I fly Air Europa PMDG 737-800. Each time I request taxi to the stand, the ATC directs me to stand 130 (which is a RAMP Cargo stand). Each time to this very stand, although there are a lot of free stands designated to AEA by the terminal.I added sections atc_parking_codes=AEA and atc_parking_types=GATE to the aircraft.cfg of PMDG 737-800. Still no change. I checked in AFCAD to make sure: this stand is a RAMP Cargo stand. So I deleted this stand at all and I left only the gates by the terminal with codes AEA. Then the ATC directed me to stand 85 each time, though it's not coded for AEA.In order to check it more thoroughly I took Cessna 172. Each time I asked taxi to stand the ATC directed me to stand 30. Shouldn't it choose the stand randomly?(To be more precise: I restarted FS after each try)Any ideas what may cause the error?
April 27, 201016 yr Don't listen to ATC, thats the only cure. I only ask them for permission to take off, and land. My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....
April 27, 201016 yr ATC does not normally direct user aircraft to a specific gate or area (unless you request to go somehere like North Parking). Specific directions by ATC are for AI aircraft only. That being said, you can create dedicated parking spot(s) at individual airports for your particular user controlled aircraft. This illustrated tutorial explains how that is done:http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...amp;DLID=125172Hope that helps.

It would seem most likely that all stands suitable for your specific size of aircraft are occupied. Your parking position will be offered to you on the basis of size and position in the list. It will not, apparently, take any notice of the atc_parking_codes= and atc_parking_types= settings in the aircraft.cfg; these are for AI traffic only. You may find the solution is in re-ordering the parking positions in the A&F Data file, most (if not all) software has an automatic re-sort button. Cargo parking will automatically be placed at the bottom of the list and if there is a gate available of your size or larger, you should get sent to it.Make sure also that the stand is not listed as a gate. It should be shown as parking. That should ensure that you have to ask for parking to get sent to a cargo spot.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org

I'll change it and let you know what is the result
April 27, 201016 yr Make sure that your gates are randomly sorted in AFCAD. This avoids all your AI being bunched together. The FS9 ATC assigns your gate s being the nearest to the rwy on which your a/c lands. It is only in RC4 or PFE that you can designate your own personal gate. Even then an AI can sometimes steal your position!!!vololiberista Super VC10 into LOWI with PF3 at a cinema near you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=298UDyNmgUA
April 27, 201016 yr Fs9 needs ramp control. I also hate the fact that you have to go where they tell you to in order to get other taxi options...such as doing a turn where you'll need to request taxi and t/o clearance again. If I remember correctly you won't get locked out of further instructions that way - sort of like the old trick to stop ifr cancellation by not contacting center. Regards, Mark
