Anyone else experiencing lockups with the Bonanza?

Since I installed the Bonanza, I haven't been able to complete a flight with it. FSX just quits or I get a BSOD. Now this may be just bad luck, but I wondered if anyone else is having stability issues with the Bonanza. If I am the only one, I know it must be something with my system (even though I didn't change a thing...).

Not really. FSX sometimes quits for me flying any of their aircraft but only 5% of the time.

I get these but have isolated it to more using the pnw scenery which seems to eventually cause my computer to run out of memory.

The PNW scenery absolutely obliterates my computer. I'm not really sure why. The FTX AU ones hardly hit it at all.I've been having no problems with the Bonanza crashing FS.

And it's exactly the opposite for my system. Computers... :(

Okay, so it can't be the Bonanza. Thanks for the replies!

Just wanted to say that:1. I finally had the change to actually finish a flight (in fact two) with the Bonanza: I had my fsx.cfg rebuild and didn't edit it at ALL. I had already rebuild it before (more than once) but always added the BP=0 tweak and later on a few others. Apparently the Bonanza and this tweak don't work well on MY (!) system. I simply lowered autogen and clouds a notch to get decent fps and now I am fine with no tweaks at all. Stable as a rock. This is the first time since I started using FSX that I don't use one single tweak at all...!2. I am beginning to like the Bonanza more and more! There still are a few issues (not being able to use the GPS in the VC being the most important one) but hopefully that will get sorted out sometime soon (the last patch already did a lot of good). Actually, by now this plane has become my default one. I really like the VC and there are enough knobs and switched and gauges to keep me happy during my flights. :(

At times when I select the F33, FSX, I get the old FSX must shut down bit. However, if I restart my computer, then restart FSX, I can then select the F33 with no problem. No biggie as everything performs normally then, but it does happen sometimes.Respectfully:RTH

Maybe time to re-install the RXP unit :(

Still haven't bought it... :( BTW If I would buy one, I'd rather buy the 530 and not the 430 you need for the Bonanza...

Agreed, I like the 530 better too. I just use it as a popup in the Bonanza and that does the job.

Yes, that's a possibility, but I don't like to use popups... I like to only fly in planes that have a VC that offers me all I need. Popups spoil the immersion for me. The Bonanza offers me all I need, if only everything would work as advertised... :(
