flythemaddog service pack

Featured Replies

There is a new service pack out for the 2008 model (and a "new" 2010 release) at flythemaddog.comAfter installing the service pack, I noticed an increase in frames, so opened the .mdl file and noticed the header MDLXMDLH.I take it this means they have finally built an FSX native model?

*EDIT*I just checked in-game. Unfortunately, tt does not appear to be a native FSX model. :(

Sigh, I got excited there for a while too.Maddog team all you've got to do is make her native FSX and you will have MANY more customers... myself included.

What is it that you are looking for that an FSX native rebuild would bring? It already works perfectly fine for me in FSX, and it's performance impact is no greater than any of my PMDG aircraft, and it has less of an impact than my Captain Sim aircraft. If you want this aircraft, you are missing out by holding off. It really is one of the best add-ons available for FS9/FSX.

how is the virtual cockpit night lighting?

You can see a dusk shot in this group of pics I posted here: linkThe night lighting is good, obviously it's not as good as the PMDG MD-11 or the JS41, but it is definitely adequate, especially considering the products age.

Thanks. As long as it has gauge backlighting and a dome light that's fine with me. 10 stages of night lighting is a little overboard.

It is an amazing simulation. Incredible system depth, and the flight dynamics are excellent. I had a dual engine failure coming in to KLAS, and the controls got incredibly heavy once I lost hydraulic power. I have never felt dynamics like that in any of my payware aircraft.
