May 18, 201016 yr I stupidly moved the douglas dc3 airfile to an ai folder, then later deleted that folder without realizing the air file was moved over not copied... so where on the install dvds can I find the original air files? Thanks
May 18, 201016 yr I don't think you can grab files like you could in FS9....You might have to do a repair... someone correct me if I'm wrong. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 18, 201016 yr Is it still in your recycle bin? If so all you have to do is restore it. Best Regards,Robert Kerr 3D Modeler & Texture Artist
May 22, 201016 yr Is it still in your recycle bin? If so all you have to do is restore it.I have the same problem, but Cessna gauge files got deleted when I reinstalled FSX, and they are not in the Recycle bin. I remember an Excel file that listed all the files on the DVDs and their locations, but can't seem to find that one either. Does anyone remember the Excel file I am referring to ? Or can anyone send me a copy of their Cessna.cab files ?Dave HinsonEdit: I am afraid to try a "repair", as it may overwrite some addon files that I have David Hinson
May 22, 201016 yr I just downloaded one of the user edits to the default air file. Didn't find it on the dvd. What is the exact file you need? I will send it, pm me your email address and the file name

May 23, 201016 yr Moderator Edit: I am afraid to try a "repair", as it may overwrite some addon files that I have"Repair" will only replace/restore default files that were installed BY FSX itself... May 23, 201016 yr To add to Bill's very authoritative information, not only will a Repair only replace its own default files, but even then it will only replace those that are missing. And even then, it will not replace files having the same name as default files, even if they have a different size or date, so no worries if you have replaced default files with third-party add-ons.So, a Repair is always the best solution, and will never harm any other files than have been added to FS.Best regards.Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
May 23, 201016 yr Thanks, Luis and Father Bill. I shall try the repair. I had some problems with repair when I had an incorrect installation of *******' new shader files, but that was probably because I had changed the shader folder.Dave Hinson David Hinson
