Your favorite PIPER PA-28-161 for FSX?

I actually quite like the Just Flight Flying Club X version. Although it is part of a payware package, because there are five aircraft in that set, it actually works out at a cost of about 6 quid, and for that it is certainly well worth the money.Al

Looking for recommendations!thanksAndrew
Although it is actually a PA-28-180, I would still highly recommend the Carenado Cherokee model. It is getting a bit 'long in the tooth' compared to their newer efforts, I think it still surpasses most all similar available.

I own Carenado Cheeroke and I love to fly it. It is not a perfect one, but I have logged there approx. 100hrs and fly it from time to time to visit nice places or train simple VFR when bored of IFR procedures.

Totally agree with Chock. The JustFlight version has a rather messy VC but externally it looks OK and the flight dynamics are spot-on. Unlike the Carenado model which seems to share the same wallowing flight dynamics as everything else they release. Nice looking though! The Flying Club X Seneca and Tomahawk also fly really nicely.I guess if you just want something pretty to look at - go for the Carenado model. If you want something that flies like the real thing - get the Flying Club X version.I have around 100 (real world) hrs PIC in the PA-28 so feel reasonably qualified to comment:)

I don't think there is a good modern Warrior III out there. I did enjoy the Dreamfleet Archer III for FS9. They also made a Dakota (P28B) for FSX - but only runs in x64 operating systems if you have the Reality XP gps series... which is what I use.

Ryan, correction, I'm still running 32 bit XP and fly the Dakota, with the new RXP WAAS GNS unit. It is the default Dreamfleet/RXP GNS that uses the 16bit trainer that won't work in FSX with a 64 bit OS. However, replacing the GNS unit with the 'stand alone' RXP WAAS GNS unit that utilizes the 32 bit trainer does work with a 64 bit system. But again, you don't need a 64 bit operating system to use the stock Dakota.

The customer review for that product on Simmarket is not very complimentary about it, but it is only one person's opinion (like any review), so you never know, it might be okay, but I have no experience of that one myself.Al

You can buy the Flying Club X aircraft individually as download versions if you like although the price is 15 quid each compared with 30 quid for the whole package.
