Fueling aircraft utility

Featured Replies

Hey!Does anyone know if there's an utility that you can set up the fuel weight you want and it loads up slowly while you prepare other stuffs of the flight? I'm tired of go to fuel and payload menu, set the fuel and suddenly it's all there. Did I make myself clear enough? Like FSPax does with PAX, you set the POB and slowly people gets onboard. I think only the % changes, not the actual weight but anyway...I was looking for something like that...you look at the fuel load indicator and you see it growing as the mechanic loads the aircraft with fuel.Is this that hard to create that none have done this yet? It could give a little more realistic tough to the pre-flight phase. :(

Perhaps not exactly what you are seeking but this Tutorial may give you some ideas - it is very easy to set up automatic fueling stations at gates or wherever you wish.http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...4&Go=SearchHope that helps.

I've only seen it on the PMDG MD11, I guess there must be other payware that do the same.Regards(David, I think he's talking about realistic fueling times, not instant refueling)

Hello David...that's not quite what I'm looking for. I'm looking for some module or something like that. Like opening the fuel and payload manu, add a little bit of fuel and close, and do that again, and again, until you reach the fuel almont you want. Or, maybe easier, open the Fuel and Payload panel, set the fuel weight you want and instead of put everything at once, it loads slowly. Is that so hard to create?
http://www.fscaptain.net/index.phpIf I recall correctly, FSCaptain can do both pax and fuel loading "gradually" and in real time. It does a whole lot more actually, it's more a FSPax-type software. The problem lies in the complex fuel tank systems the various payware addons have. Third (or fourth) party programs can't handle to them all. One good example of a complex fuel system is the PMDG MD-11, that's why they recommend using their loader instead of the FS menu.

That's would be a nice thing to try out but my propouse is something way less complex. Fueling that way I said before would be a much more generical and useful program for almost every aircraft available. Maybe someone in this forum with the enough knowhow could take the idea! :(

I don't know if this will do what you want, nor if it will work while still on the ground, but install it into FS9 and let us know - it runs as a separate module in the sim, so you don't have to install it in every one of your planes. I've been using it for years while in flight and it's been a virtual life save more than once. My thanks to the developer!<< http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID...&DLID=96780 >>

Hi Trelane!Well, the action is perfect! I set how much fuel I want and he fills up bit by bit. Would be perfect if it was more like civil aviation and with the little man telling me that the fuel load is complete or whatever..you know? Picture how nice would be you parking at the terminal, start preparation for your next flight, ask fuel while you prepare your FMC, request clearence...would be great! And if is possible to do that militar stuff than is possible to make a civil stuff! I'll try to contact the developer...maybe he already got it there... :(

Glad it worked for you, Patrick!

What a great little addition! It does work on the ground. Thanks to the developer and thanks for the recommendation and link! :(

Here's another one that I've had for years. It was made freeware years ago. I uploaded it onto AVSIM.fuelloader.zipDevin

Thanks for the tip Devin - That indeed is a "sweet" little utility. :( I hope the OP comes back and sees your post as that looks like it might be what he was seeking.

This was a great discussion - glad I stumbled on this thread. I downloaded the Fuelloader utility and it really is a great little addition. I wonder if Oliver Pobst (I hope I got that right) might be interested in incorporating this idea into AES? It already brings a virtual fuel truck up to the aircraft - wouldn't it be cool if it actually did add fuel according to a specific load request? Opa - you are very well-known and respected in the FS community. Do you know how to get hold of him and suggest it? He seems very committed to constantly upgrading and improving AES so he might be really interested.

I know this is an old post, but I just downloaded this utility and it will only let me load 25% fuel. It says it's an unregistered version. How do I regeister this. Thanks
