October 20, 201015 yr Hope I helped in that long post of mine. Sometimes I cannot help my self. Thanks Scott, No worries on the long post, I do the same and always read every word (twice). Thanks for the explanation, it was the first I seen it. As for only flying from spot to spot, that's funny. I know a lot of people do that and I once did myself a lonnnng time ago. It adds it's own level of imagination/realism/immersion. I had a resinstall not too long ago and my .log was forgotten in my backup so since then haven't done it, but even when I did, I still went outside of it now and then. Lifes to short and you can always delete it from the log, haha. That is with the default FSX logbook. Not sure if you use a payware one.Anyway, I know where you're coming from. Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt :wink:It seems like 90% of my flights are spent trying to learn specific things so will target places that better suit my training needs.Anywho, be sure to fly it when you get to that neck of the woods, it was a fun hop, and one I will revisit often, including tonight to try out RC again with your notes above. Thanks again, i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
October 20, 201015 yr Scott, try flying into KSAN in the J41 after getting the replacement AFCAD that uses RWY 27 as the default, as it is in real life. I swear the default ATC sends me down and then back up and then back down every time to avoid crashing into the mountains. Terrible. October 22, 201015 yr I was really hoping FSDT was going to make a Canadian airport I really thought CYYZ or CYVR had a chance, I have been using that excellent freeware version of YYZ in FSX, but it's really is bad on frames an FSDT YYZ would be great, as for YVR I don't really use anything.I agree, in particular CYVR (Vancouver, BC) sure I'm biased because I live here but I didn't always live here. I can't think of a more naturally beautiful backdrop for a developer to accurately model an airport, CYVR has it all, ocean, mountains, modern city and a modern airport often called the gateway to the orient. Someone should do this airport justice.
October 22, 201015 yr Agreed YVR needs a good addon. Hopefully with Orbx doing the entire area now someone will come out with it.
