September 6, 201015 yr I am just starting to look into Airport enhancment service and am contemplating getting some credits to add some airports, I am going to try it with the freeware KBOS that it supports, but before purchasing, I was wondering If it adds a lot to the experience or is it more a novelty thing that wears off after a little while? Thanks Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
September 6, 201015 yr Gerry, answers could differ, so you should definitely try. There are many more free airports supported by AES than just KBOS.You don't risk much. But if you still want to know my opinion, AES is something you try once and then you find it hard to fly to and from airports not AESed.I, for instance, have spent money on more than ten credit packs (I could buy a few complex aicraft addons for that!). Taking into consideration it is just a set of animated toy cars and a toy lame guy, I must be crazy.Though since Mathijs Kok of Aerosoft admitted AES sales are something which keeps his faith in the still huge number of FS9 fans (AES used to be FS9 only for a long time), our mental hospital must be really huge... for AESPS: Here's everything you need: http://en.shop.aeros...ht%20SimulationWatch the videos, download and read the manual (you will know more than you need) and get the latest version to test.
September 6, 201015 yr If you like 'action' at your airports then I think you will like AES, but as TheBFG says, try it.I have only just purchased some credits because I do like the action AES provides. However I do think it is overpriced when you consider the number of credits needed for a large airport like EGLL compared to the cost of the airport scenery.
September 6, 201015 yr Author Thanks everyone for the great replies, I am no doubt going to give it a try and I am sure that it is going to be extremely immersive when i first try it, however that is my concern, It will be like a new toy and fun to use but after a few flights does it become redundant so to speak? As said above, i guess opinions will greatly vary(to each their own), now that i look at it it's quite a broad question im asking. It will change your life!my life is already being taken over by this thing we call FS. :( :( :( Do I really need to add another poison to the mix Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
September 7, 201015 yr DO NOT TRY IT!You WILL become addicted....and your wallet will be lighter. It really adds to the immersion, but who wants that :( Al Stiff
