September 22, 201015 yr I take it www.precisionmanuals.com is where to purchase the PMDG 747-400x? Are there any alternatives seeing as their shopping cart is about as useful as a fridge to an eskimo?I register.. I log in... I click 'buy now' ... I click 'checkout'.... I get 'your cart is empty'.. I start again... and again.... and again..... and again.....I wonder if head of sales realises that they could be potentially shutting the doors to their future clients? and then when you click on 'support'.. well that's another story... why is it these manufacturers often think their responsibility to provide a good customer service gets chucked out the window as soon as they become popular?

Full names are just mandatory on this forum. Please have a look the forum rules, pinned on the main index page of this forum for your convinience. There is really nothing to worry about. PMDG is among the most recognized developers of Flight Simulator aircraft. If this was an upstart business with no history, I could understand your attitude, but blaming them for your browser troubles is a bit harsh. There are indeed other sources to purchase PMDG's products. If you do a little search you will most certainly find them, considering your profession. There are boxed versions available as well.By the way, the PMDG website offers an extensive customer support. Just register for free and check it out.Regards "A life is like a garden. September 22, 201015 yr Commercial Member Adam-The problem you are experiencing is related to *something* on your machine corrupting the communication between our shopping cart and your local machine. That *something* in our experience is either a security apparatus that prevents the browser from saving the required information on your local machine during the transaction process, or it is stripping information out of the communication stream during the exchange of information between your local machine and our server.A third potential option is that you have a cookie on your local machine that predates a server move we made two years ago- and it is attempting to connect you to the IP security certificate on an old server that is no longer in service. This is more easily resolved by simply cleaning out the cookie/s...Now- to answer the other questions you have posed in this forum:We enforce the requirement that posters use their name in this forum because we find that the character of conversation is always more pleasant when you are speaking to an individual, rather than a "handle." We encourage participants here to get to know one another, and to treat one another with respect and dignity- as would be done in a face-to-face conversation.Without intending to- your direction in this thread proves our point.Now- you throw the rather ugly accusation at us that we "chucked" our commitment to customer service- which is a fallacious comment. In spite of the fact that PMDG has been recognized again and again by the community for providing meaningful and direct support of customers, we have continued to invest heavily in the development of systems that will improve the speed and accuracy of our support handling. A check on our system shows that our average response time to customer support tickets is a mere 4:51 during the past five months. (And this includes some support tickets that come directly to me- which always take more than a week to handle because of my schedule... so the true average time response is probably quite lower.)So where does this leave us?I hope I have answered your question to your satisfaction. In the future, if you have a concern- please ask for help and we'll bend over backward to get you taken care of. If you cannot treat the folks here with civility- then simply come back at another time when you can. Robert S.
