October 5, 201015 yr The Flight Illusions 737 yoke looks great and the video showing the yoke following the autopilot movements is stunningNow what if this would finally allow you to "trim away" control forces? Wouldn't that be amazing? Even with a FF stick this ain't possible (apart from using 3rd party stuff like FSForce maybe), because just because the stick has FF doesn't mean FSX would change its trim system to something more realistic... :(
October 5, 201015 yr Holy cow! The Flight Illusions might be the way I have to go. Actually moves the yoke to mimic autoflight, that is like a dream come true. Crazy expensive, but my gosh, it seems like it is worth every penny. October 5, 201015 yr You should check out Ian Sissons site www.737ng.co.uk it's truly inspirational and talks about serious hardware for the 737. I use to be a desktop flyer but his site inspired me to build a full scale cockpit. Yes it's expensive but if you build it over time it works out to less than a years membership to an average golf club. Well that's how I justify it to my father who loves golf. Also I bought my full scale replica throttle quadrant from a company call Poldragnet I think it was for 1200 euro non motorized check out aviation megastore for loads of hardware options including the yokes and throttle quadrant.Mike kendall
October 6, 201015 yr But it seems like it is a brand new product and like every new product (e.g. Iphone4) it is a good idea to read someones review before jumping in. 1300EUR is serious investment indeed...fully agreed, martin. hope any of the fs sites including avsim will feature a review soon. would be interesting to know how the forces really 'feel' and also how much noise the servos make. If OK and I had the money I would go for this one then, similiar price tag as the cirrus yoke but with FF...Phil Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
October 6, 201015 yr So you can get the Flight Illusions yoke which will move the stick to mimic the autoflight, and you can get the VRAircraft throttle, with the servo option, and get your throttles to follow the autothrottle. That is one sweet setup (not to mention pricey!)I also have been looking at getting a 737 MCP (one which I also would use with the Level D 767 and the PMDG 747), and found the CPFlight, which looks pretty darn good. Have also been interested in finding a FMS, but have not done too much deligence in terms of a search. Searches some of the popular website stores, and found subpar pieces that didnt seem worth the money. After all that, I shouldnt forget rudder pedals either... October 7, 201015 yr I have a very similar yoke by PFC. It is really good (good feel, use the push button mike) but the springs eventually snap and need to be replaced. Though the unit comes with a guarante, they will supply the springs for free but charged about $10 for shipping - what a rip. I bought a dozen springs at the hardware store for $75 each.Paul Gugliotta Paul Gugliotta
