Confused by NHancer and Nvidia

Featured Replies

I used to have my FSX looking so great with NHancer and Nick's specs, but now that Nvidia has upped the drivers for my GTX 295, the "tweaking" has changed and now things are getting blurred. Does anyone have a standard as to what to do? Do I shut off NHancer and just let Nvidia do the work. Jaggies have come back and I think it is a conflict between the newer Nvidia drivers and a not yet updated NHancer. Any suggestions or help will be very appreciated. My specs:Intel Core i7 CPU [email protected] GHz6 GB RamW7 64 BitNvidia GeForce GTX 295Current Nvidia drivers 258.96

I can understand you cause i suffered also recently trying to Nhance my new GTX 260 with no luck. Answer is simple....Nhancer does not work with newest drivers so uninstall Nhancer and install the wonderfull Nvidia Inspector program (latest version is 1.93). You can insert in there the settings the same way like in Nhancer and voila....you will be verry happy to have and admire an FSX like picture of your FS9. :Applause: Enjoy! :smile:oh...i just noticed that this is a FSX topic Black%20Eye.gif ....No problem, NVIDIA Inspector works also with FSX. Go ahead and install it the same.

Thanks for the advice. A quick search on the Nvidia site doesn't show that program, I think it's part of another program. Does anyone have a link?I do see newer drivers.Lee

The Inspector:http://downloads.gur...nload-2612.htmlEnjoy!

But why does it have to be this way?Is it a case of Nvidia not being able to produce a driver that will run properly with FSX or a problem with FSX not being able to run with Nvidia?A complet pain as I've never got NHancer to work in spite of following Nicks instructions again and again and again.IAN

HelloIf you had FSX looking great with the old drivers, why not just go back to them ?The best driver is the one that works best on your system, not necessarily the newest one

Absolutly. Nvidia FS drivers were optimized yrs ago any updates adversly effect FS's performance.
Not really true, in fact it's just the opposite. It's only in the last few drivers that nVidia has paind any attention to FS at all but it really requires a 400 series card and proper setup to take advantage. That and Window7 - nvidia is not trying to tweak the XP drivers any further.Vic
