Guys, I just wanted to share this with you, since changing to windows 7 and a fresh install, my sim just runs and looks so good. here is a small video clip I just made of my flying the Mach loop in North wales, using the VFR scenery, the trees add on and the usual REX goodies, in the Iris F-16.The detail close to the ground and the feeling of reality is so good, I just had to share, to show how good and how real FSX can look when set up right. And I also just wanted to show all those people who say photoscenery does not look real, what they are missing !!! I hope you enjoy!! here is the link:

For the longest time I've been looking at buying this scenery for the UK. The problem I've always had was flying in areas where there is a city, ie London, Gatewick etc,....what does the cities look like, does it have autogen?Ron Hamilton

I don't know. For my taste it still looks really flat and unrealistic from lower altitudes. Then again, I like to do a lot of bush flying, low and slow.To each his own, as they say. I'm glad you are happy with your setup.

I am a huge photoscenery fan(megasceneryX mostly), but I have always though the UK stuff was a little too colorful, like they had tweaked the photos to make the greens greener. But as we all know taste is subjective, so as the guy above me said, if you are happy with the setup then cheers.

Very nice clip there. Horizon, now playhorizon have been promising high-res cities and towns for as long as I can remember, but have never delivered. England and wales scenery is at 1.2M Per pixel. They are now releasing Scotland and Ireland at 60cmPP which is 4 times as detailed. They have only released the Western Isles so far, which is mostly barren and drab, but still amazing. The Eastern Isles is to be released within the next week or 2. I can honestly say that 60cmPP resolution makes a huge difference. At 60cmpp you don't need autogen as the detail is so crisp and realistic imo.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYZF5DkseUU
