"In a landing configurationm Powering up should add altitude..not speed up."Yes, but not instantly. First the airflow over the wings from the increased airspeed and increased prop flow has to take hold. nevertheless I'll have a look at that. To be frank I very much doubt it is any different from normal.Regards,Rob

Very nice, Geof. That multi will be a nice addition and will certainly set you up for that ______. ;-)I recently got back from a mountain flying trip a couple weeks ago in Colorado and in a week and a half, I head down to FL for a seaplane rating...that should be fun.Hope all is well!!_____________________________Jeff S. "Thats a big Flaw... or am I doing something wrong.. "After triple checking, not that I needed to as we test landed this aircraft about 500 times in developmnet, yes you are doing something wrong. The C172 reacts almost instantly to thrust, with the nose gently rising about two seconds or less after applying power, unless of course you were already landing with the nose pointing about 20 degrees down! Please do exercise restraint before rashly pointing out "big flaws".Thank you,Rob

>>Well known flight school twin..sounds a lot like an Aztec>to>>me...>>For well known, I'd say a Piper Seminole>>L.Adamson>DOH!! That's the one I was thinking of lol. Guess I need to brush up on my piper's hehe.

Cool-where in Colorado? I did some out there too.Seaplane rating-sounds like fun-I might have to try that sometime. There is a place in Clare that gives an all day training session-you get your rating later in the day. Looking to get a Lake at some point? The _______ is still in the air so to speak! :-)http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

We flew from Centennial to Kremmling to Glenwood Springs to Aspen to Leadville (Lake Co. - Highest airport in North America) and then back to Centennial. I posted a number of pictures here:http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...mID8/31259.htmlThe seaplane rating will be two full days, with the check ride with the DE the afternoon of the second day. I don't plan on getting a seaplane, ever, but it is certainly one of the ratings that is high on the fun meter. :-) It will be in a Piper J-3, but that's just frosting on the cake. ;-)I will certainly have pictures--I'll email you a link.Let me know what happens with your training and future "endeavors". ;-)BTW, I recently got in on a Cardinal RG, a 182, a couple 172s, and a 152 for at Troy. Although I haven't been able to get checked out yet--hopefully soon after the Florida trip._____________________________Jeff S. KDTWPilot - Instrument Rated

I could not agree more. In fact, it is my default startup aircraft. btw, the airfiles reworked for FS2002 by FSD work in FS2004 and really add to the enjoyment of the default baron 58 and the king air.Sherm

Great pics Jeff! You did the same trip I did-only I didn't complete it-a drag for me!I also flew to Centenial-took the deb but was having a problem with the prop thowing some grease on the way out.Had it "fixed" while I was at work out there. Then went probably to the same fbo there you did-got an instructor and planned the same flight as you. Problem was-when we got over the Corona pass the prop started throwing grease again-decided to head back to Centenial at that point to have it "fixed" again. After that I went on to California and didn't have a chance to complete the landings at Glenwood Springs, and Leadville. I really wanted that certificate from Leadville-I guess next time! Anyway-great shots-nice to see what I missed!Looks like your awm (emtec) was working ok! :-)http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

>Looks like your awm (emtec) was working ok! :-)It was and it wasn't. ;-) I don't know if you have ever experienced this with yours, but others have noted it in the Socket forum, that sometimes the GPS will stop looking for the GPS signal (i.e. the green light goes completely out). I had that happen on our way from Aspen to Leadville (I had just turned it on during this leg, since the airplane did not have a power outlet and I was going to have to rely on battery power). Well, it couldn't get any GPS signal, so, like the first half of the flight, I continued on with pilotage and ded reckoning. All of a sudden it has started working again. No idea why (or why not). Unfortunately, I really hits home that you can't bet your life on these things. ;-)_____________________________Jeff S. KDTWPilot - Instrument Rated

Hmmm-I haven't had a single problem with mine! Maybe interference with the high wing?-I haven't used mine in a cessna yet...I see awm has a "fix" for bt gps's in 1.45...http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg
