November 16, 201015 yr What I've noticed in my move from Vista x64 to Win7 x64 is more blurries, closer to my aircraft.I've done the basic NickN post, running nvidia inspector, but with my lowly geforce 8800GT 512mb card.It doesn't really matter, I can be going 100 kts (where everything used to be very clear for a few LOD's infront and behind), or 200 kts (where the textures start to lag behind but with Win7 they get very blurry, very fast).I haven't done any of those ******* tweaks either...What do people recommend?p.s. Anyone have a link to that external fps limiter? Apparently the links in the NickN forum post are dead. I used to use that in Vista and it worked really well. I think it may be part of my current problem. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

November 17, 201015 yr Author I would try raising your TBM.Ok, do you have the specific edit for that one?There must be something I've done differently other than the OS. Because I can get like 90fps in the default cessna but it still is blurry at 100 kts. It wasn't so in Vista. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

You may want to start with a value of 70 then 80, 90 and see if it helps.TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=80Jim Jim Wenham
November 17, 201015 yr Here are some suggestions:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555738http://www.flightsim...howtopic=115815I'm no expert, but like to experiment, and sometimes you find "the Tweak (s)" that really do something good...Good luck!
November 17, 201015 yr I would try disabling unused scenery first to check if this too much causes the blurries. A 8800GT 512mb isn't a bad or too slow card at all and you can drive a GTX580 system to show blurries if FSX tries to check a huge scenery library all the time.
November 17, 201015 yr I have a 8800gt card and I followed nickn directions on using nhancer and I do not have much of a problem with blurries. I did take a small frame rate hit but the sim is very smooth. You must follow his directions exactly. It helped me a lot. keith
November 18, 201015 yr Author I have a 8800gt card and I followed nickn directions on using nhancer ...That's just it - I'm using nvidia inspector now, because they claim nHancer won't work with the latest drivers. Should I revert to an older driver and just use nHancer? If so which is a good 1xx series? | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
November 18, 201015 yr Try the 197.45 - I use them on my "El Cheapo" rig with a XFX 9600 GT Alpha Dog, Wuf, Wuf!:(
