November 21, 201015 yr Ok, your brother could set up Win7-64 and MSFS on your PC! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
November 21, 201015 yr If you install Landclass, you must install it in a certain way or your computer can run out of memory "hunting" for textures. It is important that the location where it is installed contains only a scenery folder, and no texture folder. I keep all my files created with Landclass Assistant in a landclass add-on folder and within, it only has a scenery folder and within that, all the bgls.I hope this helps--I have a fair bit of experience with landclass (I wrote the program, Landclass Assistant).Regards,JohnHi, I read this somewhere when I had that problem. When I installed the MYWolrd 2005 landclass used the automatic procedure and hope the installer put all files in the correct folder (like RootFolder\Scenery\World\... or so), but It was probably not if I had all those problems. I don't remember if it is possibly to choose a specific location, I will try again. Thanks, bye. Capt. RICCARDO RIGHETTIProud customer of the PMDG 737NGX and PMDG 777X (wating for next... Win 7 is very easy. Easier than installing fs2004 :D No, I had computer before. And I was getting that massege. So I bought new one but I have the same problem.
November 21, 201015 yr Try the FS9 3GB switch. It is very easy to do using the executable from this link:http://www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.phpI myself had many problems with OOM errors. I couldn't use my PMDG 747 anymore without getting a OOM error. I was ndirected to the executable downloadable at the link I posted above, and I use it to patch the FS9.exe so that it can use 4GB of RAM instead of only 2GB. Ever since I have had no more OOM errors. Try it. It's fast, eays, and has good potential to solve your problems. November 21, 201015 yr So I must delete all my landclass textures and install them again? No, that's not what I said.I said if you have installed add on landclass scenery, it is normally installed as a standalone bgl. You don't want to delete anything until you allow yourself a chance to read the replies and learn.Landclass is two different things. One is a bgl file which tells Flight Sim what type of land is typical for the area you're flying over. The other piece are landclass textures. Most landclass updates do not require add-on textures. That's what's cool about landclass updates--they can make a city sprout up out of the middle of nowhere using very small files, just by using the textures and autogen which came with the sim.First, have you installed any landclass add-ons? If not then ignore everything I mentioned about landclass. It does not apply to your problem.Regards,JohnEdit: Also, I notice you are from Europe. If English is not your first language or you use a translator to translate these posts, try not to do anything to your system until you've had a chance to share what we are telling you with someone who knows English very well. You can hurt your system by not understanding what someone tells you, just by deleting the wrong file or moving the wrong folder, or installing the wrong utility.

November 21, 201015 yr I am using Active sky. so should I patch it?Yes of course... I'm not sure whyActiveSky is relevant? It is a third party addon that runs while FS9 runs. FS9.exe has got nothing to do at all with ActiveSky - they are seperate programs. Patching FS9.exe should not change the behavior of ActiveSky. November 21, 201015 yr HelloI have Very good pc I7 930 @ 2.8 Ghz GTX 465 and 6GB RAM. I ahev done many flight and I got this error very often. "Your computer has run out of available memory"can you help me? Reading this might help with the understanding of this issue:http://forums.flightsim.com/fswiki/index.php/OOM_Error
November 21, 201015 yr FORGET /3GB switch, Landclass and everything else - if you have problems with scenery crashing you sim, this won't help, but if you have "Flight Simulator has run out of memory"-type error, then this is THE way. I just wonder, after zillion posts around forums, everyone forgets one and only thing:Has FS9.exe been CHANGED to be LARGEADDRESSAWARE?What Opa posted is correct, though it applies to FSX, not FS9 and also only to 32bit OS.What I figured out of these posts, you already have 64bit windows, doesn't matter which version, then do following, if you didn't do it already:1) Download http://www.ntcore.com/files/ExplorerSuite.exe2) File/Open...fs9.exe3) Click "File Header"4) On the right side, Click here (in blue)5) Check "App can handle >2GB address space", OK...6) File->Save, ExitRun FS9.Now, an short explanation: FS9 can by default use 2GB of VAS. FSX by default 4GB. This change allows FS9 also to use up to 4GB of VAS. VAS is NOT physical or swap memory, has absolutely nothing to do with your RAM.If you keep getting this error after making this change, then you have to start observing VAS usage with Process Explorer... I'll explain that if it comes to that.Enjoy.
