November 24, 201015 yr Hi everyone, I don't know if this topic has already been discussed. Pardon me if it has. I am curious about the 737 variants that would be available on the ngx. As we all know the 737 model is quite diverse in terms of variants even when one considers just the next gen models. Apart from the standard-600 to -900 we have the ERs, -700c and the BBJ 1 and 2. ( plus the wedgetail and P-8 poseidon if we'r considering military variants). Which ones can we expect on the NGX? Thanks. Nanjul J. Dakat
November 24, 201015 yr PMDG have only stated 600-900. It is unknowen if we will get any of the sub varients
November 24, 201015 yr Hi there,They said they would eventually get onto the different variants.Ross Thomson. Ross Thomson. Intel i7 @ 4.2 Ghz | 10GB DDR3 Corsair | GTX 460 | 600W OCZ | Windows 7 Ultimate 64x. Email me
November 24, 201015 yr Author I think 600-900 variants are good enough for starters. Thanks for the replies. Nanjul J. Dakat
November 24, 201015 yr I'm fairly certain they will include the 900ER, as it is the standard production model now days. Joe Sherrill
November 24, 201015 yr I really would love to see a 900ER...That extra door just seems so out of place on a 737 yet so amazing that when the 737 came out it was probably half that size.ON that thought it seems that the 737 program is so amazing because it is now the successor of the plane that was supposed to be its big brother (727) --the 707 727 and 737 were all supposed to be for completely different roles and now the 737 can pretty much do all of those roles. November 24, 201015 yr We know there is a 737-800 from the screenshots last released.I would be shocked if there was a 737-900 as that plane isn't even made anymore. You would instead see a 737-900ER, which I think would be a blast to fly. Imagine that Boeing had to design that plane with re-enforced belly near the tail as they felt the plane would be unable to take off without the tail hitting the ground. Alas, they were wrong, and it takes off just fine without routine tailstrikes.I would love to see BBJs myself. Would love to have those extra gas tanks and have some serious range with all these fancy avionics PMDG is going to put in this plane. November 24, 201015 yr I'm sure it'll have the 600, 700, 800, and 900ER. I really hope down the line they release a BBJ expansion.
November 24, 201015 yr i'd also love the ER. It looks... well different somehow... :( But a BBJ would be also great, as it would be the first well simulated Businessjet at the market. And for PMDG it wouldn't be much developing to make it, as they're not going to built a virtual cabin which would be most of the work on it. Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
November 24, 201015 yr Yeah I am crossing my fingers for the BBJ. If not I will still paint one of the regular models up like a BBJ. Although the extra tanks and such would be nice. I am sure their plate is quite full, so just keeping an open mind as to what all will be in the product. I am sure the list of what is in is leagues longer than the list of what isn't.
