Yet another AVSIM review with no mention...

What does it matter if it's a portover or not? Surely what matters are the features it actually has? I haven't seen anyone saying what specific FSX features it's lacking.
HelloIt matters in that the performance of the Maddog 2010 in FSX is very poor in comparison to the same product running in its native FS9.This should be clearly stated as new simmers reading these reviews base their purchasing decisions on such details.I see that the review now says FS9/FSX but nowhere in the review does it say what Sim version the review was based on.In my view if your are going to review an addon that runs in both Sims I think it only fair to review it in both especially where there are large performance differences. How well your purchases run may not be of interest to you but it is to many simmers.

All interesting points..Knowing that this is a ported model, would certainly lower it on the wish list of add-ons. While the review states that it is an update of the 2008 package, I would have assumed that the 2008 model was in fact, made for FSX. I have had issues with ported planes before, some passed off as 1.5 versions, but I knew that it was a warmed over model up front. Guess I had "bought my ticket" and knew what I was in for. Batting%20Eyelashes.gif While that item does lower it on the priority list, more disturbing was the lack of a response by the developers. Even when approached for an Avsim review. That one crosses it right off the list. They're asking the price of a premium model, here. If I'm thinking about shelling out $65 for an FSX add-on, (which is more than I paid for FSX) it would be nice to know that the developers have some sort of pride in their product.

I see that the review now says FS9/FSX but nowhere in the review does it say what Sim version the review was based on.
Noted. Thanks.

Port over or whatever, it's a great product. And VC is excellent.
